It’s a bitcoin miner. It’s coming from a site called coinhive. Not only is it triggering a malware warning, but it’s slowing down the site.

I get this data mining warning when I use a browser with no ad blocker.

Mostly I’m using Opera (with built-in blocking) + ABP + uBlock Origin on top – no warnings (and no ads) there.

So… it’s safe to say that you really should get a good ad-blocker and virus/firewall protection. Those that don’t have to blame themselves?

Some discussion on this thread: Thread 220914

My post there: Added the Chrome extension Anti Miner here, seems to fix the problem ahead of site admins sorting it. Was running my CPU through the roof!

I put on Anti-Miner, and it seems to be still working for this problem.
