The Guardian review quote that YOU used in your post leaves out this statement: “It’s not as good as Iv�n Fischer’s Budapest Festival Orchestra recording on Channel Classics, which is more sensual and is marginally to be preferred,” and considering that David Hurwitz specifically mentioned (see my OP above) that the present J�rvi-Scottish recording is to be preferred even over the Fischer-Budapest, I know which one I’m going with – especially also considering that J�rvi-Scottish is the only one in Surround Sound.

I let all my FLAC links expire after several months and after multiple betrayals won’t post FLAC for new ones any more (excluding film music),.
And I left out that part because I think he was wrong. Listen to the Weimar recording and you’ll see.
