why are the mp3s all distorted or is it me?

the mp3’s sound like crap, the ones i specifically downloaded were from mediafire, trying another format to see if its all of them

not trying to sound grateful for this, i really appreciate the upload, just letting you know in case something happened during the upload, unless my computer is acting weird. But yeah i just tested it and download the acc files the second time. The acc’s work fine i assume the flacs are fine too cause i am the only one pointing this out, but i think the sound got corrupted for the mp3’s

The mp3 files’ sampling rate is 32 KHz. Some applications don’t properly handle that sampling rate (notably iTunes). If you opened this up in Audacity, upped the sampling rate to 44.1 KHz, and exported is as mp3 again the distortion would be gone.

So either change up your audio playback app, see if you can find some help configuring your application’s settings to get it to work, or just download the FLAC files and transcode them to mp3 at a higher sampling rate.

YES! Thank you. If indeed we have to wait until Gen 8 to have the USUM-exclusive music on CD, a full FLAC rip of the USUM soundtrack would be sweet. Let us know if you get that sorted!
