I was thinking to do this for a while, a bit late to do but today’s the day.
Full bluray rip from the lossless surround source via eac3to, then labelled properly with Audacity from bluray chapters info. and exported in native sample and bit format losslessly with metadata tags.
I double-checked the list times for creation by manually clicking one chapter to play at a time in bluray menu start to finish.
Track list:
1) Driving (Driving Miss Daisy)
2) Discombobulate (Sherlock Holmes)
3) Zoosters Breakout (Madagascar)
4) Crimson Tide (Crimson Tide)
5) 160 BPM (Angels and Demons)
6) The Wheat (Gladiator)
7) The Battle (Gladiator)
8) Elysium (Gladiator)
9) Now We Are Free (Gladiator)
10) Chevaliers De Sangreal (The Da Vinci Code)
11) Circle Of Life Prelude (The Lion King)
12) King Of Pride Rock (Reprise) (The Lion King)
13) Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean)
14) One Day (Pirates of the Caribbean)
15) Up Is Down (Pirates of the Caribbean)

17) You’re So Cool (True Romance)
18) Main Theme (Rain Man)
19) What Are You Going To Do When You’re Not Saving The World? (Man of Steel)
20) Journey to the Line (The Thin Red Line)
21) The Electro Suite (Themes from The Amazing Spider-Man 2)
22) Why So Serious? (The Dark Knight Trilogy)
23) Like A Dog Chasing Cars (The Dark Knight Trilogy)

33) Dream Is Collapsing (Inception)
34) Mombasa (Inception)

And a single track Interstellar suite by not separating 28, 29, 30 and 31. Couldn’t let them be split from each other like that 🙂

Inside the Atmos track is a fallback TrueHD stream with 7.1 and 5.1. This means for a rip you must decide what to rip. Bad, make a 7.1 or 5.1 rip? If he made it right, he must contribute 2 rips. one for the 5.1 and one for the 7.1.
But, the bluray contains a total of 41 tracks. What happens to Hans Zimmer telling about the music?
The mastering they have done is remarkable, yes indeed you will feel like yourself at there listening in the best possible position.
Needless to mention, it is around 4.5GB and has the full runtime of the concert.
@DAKoftheOTA: I did not touch anything at the ripped file in Audacity while importing and exporting channel layouts came and gone as it is, I just exported it in split files. I even changed the Audacity’s environment beforehand to 48000Hz and 24-bit and set dithering to none, all this was not needed at all but it’s just me lol.
@bonesmania: If your A/V can’t decode TrueHD/Atmos you may decode it in a PC by MPC-HC and feed the PCM to it via HDMI. My rip is encoded in FLAC btw.
Yep, 41 chapters. Yet, I found there are 35 real chapters, as I clicked and calculated each section in the actual bluray’s chapter menu. Turns out that there are no additional chapters and those 35 + "6" chapters’ times are actually interrupting those few tracks by pointing in the middle of the track let’s say, if you know what I mean.
What happens to Hans Zimmer telling about the music?
What about it? He talks sometimes between tracks. Don’t worry this rip is full, I did not throw away some gaps etc. You can verify it with the total runtime of tracks if you want.
edit: Just a little note, Atmos is TrueHD and not a seperate track and has only some object-based info but not an additional sound to the TrueHD.
Thanks for the share…
Greats and Thanks
Not true at all. Yes the ATMOS track still had the TRUEHD signal embedded for backwards compatibility but at the end of the day they’re two different kettle of fish.
Watching/Listening to this in 7.2.4 ATMOS is quite a different aural experience to watching it in Standard 7.1.
That said though, for the most part, what you don’t know you’re missing, you cant miss. 😉
And that’s due to object-based audio information, still not a separate track.
