Water Tower Music uploaded on YouTube a one-track preview of Danny Elfman’s score.
03. Hero’s Theme (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojyuFzWA0v4) (4:17)
What I present here in this thread is just a mere rip of the cue with JDowloader 2 (126k m4a quality).
Luckily, we also got the full tracklist & lenth as well as the cover art.
Unexpectedly, I like quite a lot this theme and I can hope for the best for the full score by Elfman.
And I’m also a bit happy that Juckie XL got a small credit in the Soundtrack release.

EDIT: Lady Amalthea kindly shared two tracks "Hero’s Theme" and "Friends and Foes" in lossless and that replaces the link that I originally provided.
Here are the new singles of "Justice League (http://www.mediafire.com/file/9j9btugg8nh74ll/DE-JusticeLeagueSingles-FLAC.zip)" in flac. 🙂
Enjoy! 😀
Totally agree! Not great, but at least not mediocre, looking only at this track.
We’ll see from the almost 90 minutes of score! 😀
the second half of the track sounds so not Elfman, that is what I don’t like the most of it
also track16 got released too, it’s sound more promising than track3, showed some solid action scene music and JW’S SUPERMAN THEME!

Agree. A bit above mediocre and sounds kinda reclicled. Well, at least there’s some energy to it (which I feared there wouldn’t be).

Nice! Strangely I haven’t found the other one on WaterTower Music channel…
Generic, but still there’s a bit of energy in the theme… If it is so, it’s better than I expected.

Interesting.
But it’s much more generic than the other cue. Action has never been Elfman’s best, even in his glory days.
The problem will come when action starts. Not even in the two Spider-Man films he scores there were iconic action cues.
Anyway, it’s 88 minutes! I’m glad we have so much music to listen, especially if it will be good.
Strange though that Wonder Woman didn’t have a Deluxe Edition treatment like all other DCEU scores have.

Yeah, but as long as the music flows with the action sequences, it goes great. I think WW had the right amount of music in one CD and watching the film there really isn’t anything special not featured in the soundtrack, so maybe that’s why only one CD.

I think that cover is one I made a while ago with a different logo treatment lol, the font is the same I used.
It is? I just googled it and took it because of the size.
Well, then thanks for your cover. It’s nice.
However, the second track made a much better impression. It shows a whole lot diversity within the track, sounds incredibly confident, and the Superman theme is ace. I do hope that it’s more representative of what the actual score is, since I want Elfman to prove all the naysayers wrong. If only RCP fanboys weren’t so quick to judge….

You are welcome, here are more if anyone wants them.

Amen to that but that’s not gonna happen unfortunately, I’d stay away from the RCP related sites cause they are already going out of town with this.
For sure, you’ll find it here on the 10th of November. Probably a couple of days before, but I don’t know the exact date.
I’d prefer to watch the film and listen to the whole thing before writing down similar statements.
THanks so much 🙂
Bring back Junkie XL.

And if anyone wants musical continuity, the WW theme is being used in the bank scene with her, it can be briefly heard at the end of the clip they released.
I think every director has his musical ideas for every movie, and character, is not the same musical ideas for Cooper when he make his King Kong (and Max Steiner, obviously) than the Peter Jackson or Jordan Vogt-Roberts for his movies.
If the reddit spoilers I read are true, the only theme not coming back is Zimmer’s Battfleck. Also it’s far from an insult, turn down your drama a notch,

PS: Some people needs to chill or wait 10 minutes before write…
WW’s theme is in it, as I already mentioned, and Elfman himself already mentioned using it.

Totally agree with Clovie here.
And as far as I know, Williams’ theme is used only for a brief moment (specifically in the cue "Friends and Foes") as Elfman himself revealed in an interview. I also hope Elfman used Zimmer’s Superman theme (at least the piano part, as in the last trailer).

And I think it’s too early to say if the score will be bad or good. From what I can listen from the two cues shared in this thread and the clips, I think I’ll enjoy it. Then, if Elfman used all the previously written themes (his own Batman theme and Zimmer’s Superman and Wonder Woman themes) in a proper way, not being just small previews (like Giacchino’s Rogue One) but full-lenth statement of said themes, I’ll be really really happy.
And if Elfman will also add his own talent and bring something original and truly great thematically, I’ll love it.
But we’ll have to wait just a few days more, since in 4 days the OST will be released digitally.
I wanna hear what Elfman has done for Cyborg, Flash and Aquaman, he said he made, though small, themes of them, and it was the studios choice to reuse them later on.

Wait, why would it be tomorrow? What is so special about that?
The Batfleck theme was composed by Funkie XXX.
And the Elfman Batman’s theme is the best batman theme EVER. Like the Superman’s theme of Williams.
That’s NOT entirely true, every director and composer has his vision about the character, like Goldenthal or Zimmer for Batman or for Superman, not beacuse that theme or this theme are mythical (they are), the other themes not represent the characters.
The Batman’s theme for the Nolan trilogy adecuates Batman beacuse is a figure, a legend, a heroe. For the Snyder’s version, that is a theme with multiple aspects of the character: the dark side of the character and his dramatic side, and of course the action side. Elfman, composes a misterious, almost a march, theme for Batman, but reflects the dark of the character, like Goldenthal and Zimmer.
The same occurs with Superman, the Williams’ theme is epic and optmistic, like the Reeve’s Superman, and Zimmer’s represent a character with hope and doubts, but in the end, is a heroe.
And this his written by Henry Cavill himself:
“The Hans Zimmer score is so ingrained in my psyche now, and the emotions I felt while making [Man of Steel], the emotions I felt for the character and the emotions I felt while watching those trailers when they were happening was enormous. And so, that score holds something very special for me and always always will. Of course, we hear a bit of Zimmer’s now-familiar score in the most recent trailer for Justice League, but we also know that references to John Williams are engrained in the music as well. At the same time the John Williams score is incredibly powerful, it’s a character all to itself, and to have both of those…I mean it’s genius. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.“

Lol tomorrow is my birthday! It would be great!
Well, Elfman said he wrote just small motifs for them, not even proper themes. And he also said that he doesn’t know if they’ll be used for the future films… as far as I knew, there’s nothing else that has been said on those small motifs.

I agree. And I would also add that there’s also a personal preference factor to add. For instance, I personally love the scores Zimmer did for Nolan’s trilogy and Man of Steel. I also love Elfman’s Batman theme, but not the whole score (as with Zimmer’s).
I personally LOVE both, Elfman and Zimmer, also Goldenthal and Williams
Thanks! Though it’s still too early
As for those motifs… I heard a rumor (I don’t even remember where I heard it from) that Zimmer before leaving "the superhero genre" was asked to write down themes for all other members of the Justice League… not that I think they’re used in the film, but anyone else have heard this rumor?

I haven’t listened yet to Goldenthal’s and, to my shame, I haven’t yet seen the original Superman film scored by Williams (but I know how Williams’ theme plays, at least).
