dBpoweramp’s default level recommended is 5 so as I’m not an expert on this I though that would be the middle ground but from now on I’ll use level 8. 🙂

level 8 or level 5, quality is the same, but level 8 files are bigger in size, that’s all.

I think I know what you’re referring to but that’s from the SNES/NES tunes which are as is.

EDIT: Also, there’s a pop in Track 5 as well, although not as loud as in Track 7.
