Das Boot Film Edit

Hello! I made a film edit of Das Boot by Klaus Doldinger. One of my favorite films and scores too. This was fun. I took the soundtrack and edited it so its as heard in the film – a cut here, a splice there. I included the album too so you can choose between the two and have a nice 2 CD edition of this. Some tracks were ripped from the DVD, but its almost all clean. Enjoy. (Polite, no rudeness please, I am still an amateur editor) comments, critiques, questions all greatly appreciated.

I may upload a track list later. In my iTunes (and CD burn) I edited the bonus content tracks a little (tracks with movie sfx and dialogue before their corresponding music track, and title and single at for and aft. But that was my personal preference – no one else needs do it if they dont want.

Very nice work! It flows very well if I may use this lame pun. The greatest WWII U-boat film ever made. Only the Germans could have captured and relayed so accurately the claustrophobia and the promiscuity these men must have endured. The score by Klaus Doldinger is stunning. Working on v2.0: little smoother edits and all track names in german. Will upload when complete, but the original should still be available as well.

Never seen this film but I’ll grab your v2 edit when it’s done. I don’t know German though :p
