If there are any other future news about the Mania Soundtrack regarding track names, I’ll update them as soon as possible. But for now, enjoy this soundtrack.

can’t wait to listen!
Some of the tracks, such as Studiopolis Act 1, were taken from already ripped tracks. Tracks done by Hyper Potions and Nitro Fun were taken straight from the official release of those respective songs. Tracks such as Extra Life, Act Clear, Chemical Plant Boss, and Invincibility were recorded at their highest quality; comparable to an official soundtrack’s quality. The plan was to rip the music from the game’s files but the PC release isn’t here. But due to how simple it was to rip the majority of the soundtrack because of the game’s Sound Test, I feel there’s no need for the PC release’s assistance.
So long story short, yes it was recorded and no it wasn’t. It was both recorded AND ripped, just to make sure we got the highest quality possible~
Edit: And when I say ripped, I mean from official tracks released on Youtube and converted to high quality tracks. Specifically from the tracks that the youtube channel Sonic the Hedgehog officially released as "teasers" like the Mini Boss theme for example. Those tracks, however, were edited to fade out, not have a proper ending to the tracks. Sorry for the mix up.
Since PS4/One/Switch are not hacked, only a rip from game file will see the light of the day at the PC release.
Also the composer release the soundtrack in flac 24bits in september if you ordered a vinyl.
Drowning Theme…? Hmm, that’s something I always tend to forget. Well, that Drowning Theme, along with the Game Over theme and maybe some cutscene themes (specifically Eggman and the Hard Boiled Heavies are shown up or whatever and the ending theme(s)), will have to come at a later date.
EDIT: I see the problem, and I further improved it with the recent update.
Haha, no problem~ ^_^
The best way to record the music until a proper gamerip can be made with the PC version, is in the D.A. Garden, which can be unlocked after gaining enough Gold Medals in the Blue Spheres bonus stages.
As a reference, here are all the tracks currently missing from this collection:
– Results Screen
– Speed Up
– Egg Reverie (Extra Boss) Pinch
– Drowning
– Game Over
– Hard Boiled Heavies Mischief Theme (Cutscene)
– Angel Island Zone (Cutscene)
– Countdown Jingle
I was originally going to call it "Studiopolis Boss", like Chemical Plant and Stardust Speedway, but I assumed that because "Ruby Delusions" song was called Eggman Boss Theme 1, the Studiopolis Boss theme would be called Eggman Boss Theme 2 that I’ve seen around here.
Do you want me to update the track name with Studiopolis Boss?
Mirage Saloon Act 1 still has a bit cut off from the beginning, as is the case with all current recordings of that particular track.

Oh geez, I had forgotten about Mirage Saloon Act 1’s cutoff for the ST Mix… My apologies! Later on (most likely after the PC version is released), I’ll be sure to update this track with a proper beginning. ^_^
As stated before, this soundtrack doesn’t have EVERY track from the game. Those will come at a later date. (And you’re gonna have to be specific on what you mean on "results screen". Are you referring to the Special Stage’s results screen or something?) If someone has somehow managed to acquire the tracks you’ve listed before me, then if and when I get my hands on them, I’ll update this soundtrack again. I want to have the privilege of calling this soundtrack COMPLETE with all the tracks here.
I’ll also update this soundtrack with the Alternate Opening Theme that I had learned recently existed (you will have to watch the Opening Animation twice to hear the alternate opening theme), but that’s once the SFX are gone (yes, this alternate opening animation has SFX. They are awfully quiet, but still a little troublesome, so I won’t add that track in until the SFX are undoubtedly gone).
I do thank you for the reference list though. ^^ They will indeed help me tell me what I’m missing later down the road!
I meant the Competition Results Screen, I had the D.A. Garden open whilst writing this and that’s what the track was named; which is also where I got the names of the rest of these tracks from. I’m not sure if someone else has managed to get them yet, I was just providing a reference on what was left.
I hope that someone manages to record some good quality tracks (not ones recorded from a potato, lol). Once that happens, I’ll add them to this collection. ^^
Do you want me to update the track name with Studiopolis Boss?
Do as you please. On the otherside i can’t wait to get the rest of the soundtrack as mention it early.

– Speed Up
– Egg Reverie (Extra Boss) Pinch

– Game Over
– Hard Boiled Heavies Mischief Theme (Cutscene)

Missing a drum beat? Sounds fine to me.
Well, in this gameplay video, the snare drum is present unlike in your soundtrack:

Alright, so Press Garden Act 2 has a weird looping issue. It’s shorter than it’s supposed to be and that’s… a problem. Therefore, I’m gonna edit the track with my video editing software so that it harmonizes better, okay? 🙂 I will update this later on tonight to give you all a sample on how better it should sound. Just hang tight. ^^

Tell me if you have problems downloading this track. If you didn’t have any problems and you successfully downloaded it, then tell me what you think.
I’ll go ahead and update the soundtrack with the actual loop of Press Garden Act 2.
http://s000.tinyupload.com/download.php?file_id=58770745467982928057&t=5877074546798292805748377
Once again, I’ll provide a update on my first post with the mp3 file so you can replace it in the soundtrack. If I have a lot of updates, then I will update the RAR file with all the new stuff, but this is only two mp3 files (Press Garden Act 2 and Mirage Saloon Act 1 ~ ST Mix), so I feel no need to completely update the soundtrack just yet.
And I will say it again (hence why I now posted this on the first post), this soundtrack is technically incomplete and does not have EVERY track in the game. That means the Ending cutscene music isn’t here yet. You’ll have to wait a little bit before every track in Mania is acquired and added to this collection.
Ah yes, it’s a remix of the Knuckles Chaotix’ Theme. It plays when you beat the extra final boss as Super Knuckles in "& Knuckles Mode". It’s a joke ending because clearly Knuckles isn’t responsible for saving the day and junk, but that doesn’t stop him from telling the story to a few animals with the book titled "Sonic Mania & Knuckles" while Sonic & Tails watch confused at the entire scene.
Is it in Debug Mode or DA Garden? Can’t tell ya that b/c I don’t have access to Sonic Mania and won’t be for awhile.

Ah! This can help me greatly. Thanks so much~! ^_^
Happy to help! There’s one thing that also bugs me and that’s most of the tracks having weird fade-out points. What I mean is some of them loop more than twice and some of them loop once and a half. Other than that, you’re doing a great job!
Yes, I can see what you mean. The most noticeable one that loops once and a half is Mirage Saloon Zone Act 1 ~ K Mix. I was questioning if I should fix that or not, but perhaps I can later on. And thank you. I want to be hounding this game like a dog because Sonic Mania is the game a LOT of us have been waiting for. I want to make this soundtrack complete~
Aside from Mirage Saloon Zone Act 1 ~ K Mix, can you give me a list of songs that have weird fade-out points? I want to fix those but I don’t have the time to sit down and listen to them all at the moment. Also, I did just recently update the soundtrack, so maybe some of those songs are fixed? You take a listen. 🙂 In the mean time, I’m gonna fix Chemical Plant Zone Act 2 now that I have someone who has properly ripped that song.

Well, I kind of edited them myself for my own pleasure, but since you updated this, I could help if I remember before I edited them. I know that both acts of Green Hill Zone were a bit strange, Act 1 having a couple of extra loops and Act 2 being ALMOST perfect but started fading out slightly before the second loop. I know I might be giving you a bit too much work right now and if I am, I’m sorry.
Can’t wait till the PC release for a proper gamerip.
Until then, this is pretty good 🙂

Oh and Mirage Saloon Act 2 and Press Garden Act 2 has the same glitch still in the soundtrack
What glitch? Both tracks are fine to me.
Oh and no, I will not. I understand your reasoning for wanting it in that order, but the D.A. Garden (and even the Debug Mode Sound Test I believe) kinda has it set up my way. In the D.A. Garden the "Chemical Plant Boss" is actually named "Mean Bean Machine" and "Stardust Speedway Boss" is named "Metal Sonic Boss". I may consider adding those titles in the name (I.e. "Stardust Speedway Boss Act ~ Metal Sonic") or something like that. But if you want Chemical Plant Boss after Chemical Plant Act 2 and/or Stardust Speedway Boss after Stardust Speedway Act 2 then you’ll have to do it yourself. My tracklist will continue having Boss themes set in a specific groups with the other boss themes like so.
The dude that posted the video also has some of the other songs you didn’t include on his channel.
Whelp! It’s time to update the soundtrack now! XD Thanks for the link~! Really helps a bunch~! ^_^
The Studiopolis act 2 boss theme is reused for the Metallic Madness act 2 boss, so I’d definitely keep the name "Eggman Boss Theme 2" as-is.
Thanks for everyone who’s helped me with this soundtrack! I really mean it! I couldn’t have done it without your help and advice! It’s basically complete! (I can’t call it 100% because of the Alternate Opening Theme and "& Knuckles" Ending themes, so let’s just call it 99% complete, lol)

Ahh, thanks for that info. I’ve forgotten that it was reused there. Yeah, good thing my mind told me to keep it as-is, huh? X)
Thanks~ And good luck to you! I’ll be absolutely sure to check out your rip of this game in the future! ^^

There seems too be a weird pop sound at the start of Eggman Boss 1. Don’t know if that’s part of the actual music so i figured it was worth pointing out.
Sorry about that. I hadn’t realized it at the time. I’m so quick to share this OST.
Here’s the fixed version of 38 – Ruby Delusions ~ Eggman Boss Theme 1: https://mega.nz/#!g8tx1RQY!uEdKyh2JoSZV-roUArLlKFK2o__gccvd2pyYFiLqqXU
Sounds like the start of Studiopolis Act 2 is slightly off as well.
The only way would be to get the pc file.
I’m sorry you think it’s bad quality.
I’m also sorry, but that’s a complete and utter waste of my time. WAV files are WAAAY too big. You have two options: Convert them yourself or wait for the PC release on August 29th where someone will undoubtedly do a game rip and give you your lossless tracks. My preference has always been MP3s and that’s what I provide.
Stay tuned~
Why would it be video? It’s music.
Do excuse me, but I’m gonna need you guys to download the soundtrack again. Why? Because I’ve updated it again. This time, it’s quite a major update, so I highly recommend you redownload this soundtrack for a better experience with the sound quality.
Again, thank you all for the comments.
I had just fixed the Stardust Speedway Zone Boss track. Apparently, I didn’t notice that there was an error in that specific track during it’s conversion process. The error is that around the 1:45 to 1:50 mark, there is a split second stop that does hinder the experience of this badass song. I still kept the original file apparently (I thought I deleted it but nope), so I just converted it again. It’s fixed now and I provided a new link silently. ^_^;
I hope when the PC version comes out there are non SFX versions of the Alternate Opening Theme and the Ending Theme (specifically the True Ending theme, because the Normal Ending theme is just a shorter version of the True Ending Theme). Given that the SFX were part of the animation sequence, I have some doubt that the PC version will have a file without SFX. But hey, we’ll wait and see.
Anyway, this is the highest quality available I think. If the PC version’s music files’ quality is similar to mine, then I will feel extremely happy because that means I was able to record tracks to their quality.
Therefore, I’m going to be restarting again. Not from the very beginning, but on the tracks that go beyond 1:49 (let’s see, that means… ALL of the Zones, ALL of the Boss Fights, and a few menu songs). The jingles, ending themes and trailer songs are fine, otherwise. This shouldn’t take me too long fortunately, so sit tight.
I apologize that something always goes wrong with each update. I do try my hardest to give you guys a great experience.

Also. The new Egg Reverie messes up around 1:50. Eggman Bosd 1 does too. At 1:49.

No problema.
Ik where to buy them. Im just broke rn is all.
And yes, I am quite aware of the songs messing up around 1:50. I’m currently fixing them, so please sit tight. ^_^ So far, I have re-converted Eggman Boss 1, Eggman Boss 2, and Stardust Speedway Zone Boss, and they completely lack the issue around 1:50. Fortunately, I don’t have to re-convert ALL the songs, just the ones that exceed past the 1:50 mark. I should be able to finish all of this today, so wait for me please~! 🙂
No problem. I recommend you wait a little longer. The tracks that exceed 1:50 have a glitch issue that’s being addressed as we speak.

I’d suggest a few tagging optimisations, such as the Album artist and Original composers. I’m even ready to do it myself if you don’t have the time.
Plus it is also a Good Idea to Have a Backup Ready incase something Happens to the First Link.
I’d hate for anyone to be denied the Chance to Listen to This Soundtrack rip & Let and Let any effort to Get This find to us, go to waste.
Thank You very much for Reading My Request. C:

My only concern with the current version of this rip is the volume of some tracks. I compared the older and newer rips of Flying Battery Act 2 (Just one example) and the older one had good volume and more depth. The newer mix is significantly louder but sounds much flatter in consequence.
Flying Battery Act 1/2, Press Garden Act 1/2,Stardust Speedway Act 1/2/Metal Sonic, Hydrocity Act 1/2 and some of the boss themes are the ones I personally find the most affected by their loudness.
I am sorry if I come across as nitpicky. xD
It’s a really good rip so far with some minor improvements that could be done. Excellent work! c:

I take it that you’re not familiar with the previous games built in Christian’s retro engine then. (The Sonic CD, Sonic 1, and Sonic 2 remasters) All of the game data including music is stored in an encrypted file called Data.rsdk. With Sonic CD, it took about 2 weeks before a tool to decrypt & unpack the data was released. For Sonic 1 & 2, it took 3 days. With this being a brand new game, I would not be surprised if they changed the format again and a new decryption tool will have to be written. I don’t think any of the people who wrote the first two applications are still active. Just wanted to warn you not to expect direct game rips on day one.
Thanks for your efforts in putting together these recordings. It’ll be a nice alternative until they start selling the OST.
The Sound Test on PC would be the same as the underlying files, so that shouldn’t be an issue. (That said, that’s cool info I didn’t know, so thank you for sharing.)
Hey man, you wanna rip the soundtrack yourself? Be my guest.
When I started the first time, I had the volume pretty low so I re-recorded them with the volume at 100%. The ONLY track that has been altered was the Stardust Speedway Zone Boss because for some reason, it sounded quiet EVEN when I recorded it with the volume at 100%. I did it at least 5 times to see if I was goofing up so I just raised the volume a bit by 20%. It may sound a bit louder than the others, but re-doing it is a pain. Do you REALIZE how long it takes me to re-record each and every track the game offers just so I can update for you guys? All I do is update the MP3 tracks to 320kbps. That’s all.
Come to think of it, what date did you download the recent version? Because in my previous version (before August 20th), I had raised the volume on a LOT of tracks and used a crappy editor for the majority of the tracks (Mirage Saloon Act 1 ~ ST Mix was the biggest victim of this). The current version is much better than before.
Are you sitting behind me watching me work? No, no you aren’t. Therefore, if you don’t like this, then go elsewhere. Or better yet? Record these tracks yourself.
Like I said, someone’s BOUND to do a better job than I, later on. Once that person comes along, I’ll praise him/her and I’ll download their version. I just provided a soundtrack that’s "good enough".
And if you haven’t even DOWNLOADED the current version, then you can’t go assuming anything. Do that and come back and talk to me.

Thanks! That does explain why the filenames are missing, still nice to get all the raw data for now though. I expect an updated RSDK extraction tool will be able to preserve the filenames. Also curious how the looping is handled, whether there is metadata in the OGG file or separate looping information file(s).
For the loop point, i think we have to look further in the rsdk file. Otherwise you have to loop manually the music.

Sounds good! Do it how you like, then change the name when the official tracks come out. Get creative!
Cos for now, the compression is really horrible… What a waste of a great soundtrack.
I can’t find anymore the one which has the better dynamics.
I’m glad I kept it!

MP3 has to come another time or someone can just convert them, I got things to do with the bae.
File names and track names aren’t the same, like the file name could be "19-Eggman Boss 1" but the song title is "Ruby Delusions ~ Dr.Eggman’s Various Machines"
Also, either something happened when tagging them or my phone has trouble reading flac tags cause I tagged Tee Lopes along with whatever the original songs composer was for the remade songs but for some reason it only shows the original composers on my phone haven’t checked to see if it still shows Tee on the computer.

No. I looped. Combined some themes. Tagged. It’s only FLAC for like reasons that won’t make sense until October.
Sonic Mania Original Soundtrack ~ 16-bit Hits [FLAC] (https://mega.nz/#!L0txGbqD!UxHVgMQaTS4wJLC0QqKux0d_5Y6yhaKlBNVNlZtyhBk)

I REALLY find it completely unnecessary to change the track names. If you are going to change the track names, at least refer to the track names from the D.A. Garden in Sonic Mania. Like everyone else suggests, just wait until official names come out for tracks like Mean Bean Machine and the Metal Sonic boss (Strangely enough, the Eggman Boss 2 theme is in the Vinyl Soundtrack but… It doesn’t have a "subtitle" like Eggman Boss 1… Maybe it’ll come later, maybe not.)
The official Sonic the Hedgehog youtube channel will occasionally drop off some songs from Sonic Mania. Recently, they uploaded Lava Reef Zone Act 1. It’s interesting to note that it doesn’t have a "subtitle" (I’m sorry, I don’t know what you call those things… ^_^; Ehehehe…), like (i.e.) Studiopolis Zone Act 2 does (it being "Prime Time"). I had assumed this previously and my assumptions appear to be right.
They may post the Competition/Time Attack theme on there, and we’ll potentially have an official name for the track to use. Same could go for the Results screen or Credits theme or whatever. I think these "subtitles" (sorry XP) would only apply to the completely original tracks like Press Garden Zone Acts 1-2, Mirage Saloon Zone Acts 1-2 (+ ST & K Mixes), Studiopolis Zone Acts 1-2, Titanic Monarch Zone Acts 1-2, etc, etc. Ya get what I’m saying, right? Tell me someone agrees with me.
Apologies if I’m being "that guy" (or just really dense again), but where is the Eggman Boss 2 theme on the official vinyl listing?
…it looks like every track has a subtitle like you’re saying, but nothing referencing the second Eggman boss theme. Are you talking about Ruby Illusions (Final Boss Theme)?

Whoops. Disregard that bit then. ^_^;
Sorry to butt in, but has the digital version of the vinyl soundtrack been uploaded anywhere yet?
I’ve heard that a few people already have their copies (and verified that the digital download doesn’t have any extra tracks), but no one’s actually shared it online (at least, as far as I’m currently aware).
Anyway, yes, only Mania-original levels are getting subtitles on it’s track names. Zones returning from previous games won’t have act-specific tracknames.

Basically this for me. I have been looking for the Vinyl songs since the digital download tracks are really muddy imo.

There’s this: Thread 218703
That’s already been established as a fake.
It’s just another gamerip, not the official release.
Well, clearly not, since this thread was made last month and the vinyl album came out on the 9th.
It’s just another gamerip, not the official release.
Even though it has custom endings for several tracks (not just Studiopolis)?
As various people have already tried to point out, it was uploaded *before* the vinyl album was officially released.
The reason some of those have custom endings is probably because they ripped the OST sample tracks uploaded on YouTube and Soundcloud used to promote the vinyl release.
I love how the music has a whole Sonic CD JP / EUR vibe… and how the music is mostly remixed of classic tracks.
Hope Sega can finally wake from its slumber and give us more of the true spirit of Sonic games.
