An amazing soundtrack to a game that once seemed like a dream. (too bad bout denuvo though…) Loud mastering is also a fault.
This is not a recorded rip like other rip before it. The music has been ripped from the game data itself so it’s the best quality currently available. Hopefully a complete soundtrack (in lossless) is officially released in the near future.
Enjoy! Link is in the thread below.

Classic !!!!! :awsm:
Thanks for your support, Alex!
Yo !!!!!. Nice release man! Did you happen to find the loop points of the songs or did you make your own?
I’ve looped the songs manually in an audio editor. I’m not knowledgeable of how to find loop points within their original files through hex.
Classic !!!!! :awsm:
Sorry about that. :p
The songs are encoded as VBR V0 (~280kbps), but I’m seeing the original Vorbis files closer to ~160kbps. How were these converted?
OGG to lossless for editing and then converted to mp3 v0 afterwards.
Hey, what’s the total, 59 or 61?
Some tracks in the game are sound effects that I omitted as well as the Hyper Potions song.

Thanks so much for this. 🙂
Is there a reason the Hyper Potions opening track "Friends" isn’t included?
The quality is way worse than the previous rips.
First, the tracks are way shorter than the previous rips which have been released on FFShrine.
(Some 2 minutes long tracks are now just 1 minute)
Also, it’s way more compressed and dynamics are destroyed.
Here’s a comparison shot (the previous rip on top) =>
It’s not your fault, it’s just that as usual, they butcher the so-called "official" soundtrack, and rips are better quality.
Loudness is as it is in the game, no more, no less. Maybe the original soundtrack from Data Discs will get a different mastering, but for now, that’s the best you can get.
And an Audacity screenshot that clearly shows nothing about dynamics. At best it shows that one rip is a line-out console rip, so the volume is slightly lower than the direct OGG file rip. Dynamics look exactly the same.
Arguing for the sake of it…
Just go look in details with Audacity.
And yes the console rips are better.
The ones arguing are the ones insulting and denying facts.

Tyrael87, It’s "she", not "he", and I already replied to you in another page.
alexthegrand’s rip is not the one I was referring to.
Also, I don’t see in what way it changes the facts.

Or the console rips are falsely coloured for having undergone a conversion from digital to analogue and back again (even a direct digital record would be at the whim of any processing the console is doing). The source material in all releases is 99% likely to be the exact same encode. A direct rip of the game files from the PC is the best match you are going to get – and any alleged ‘dynamics’ are not really there.
Hopefully Tee Lopes has a full FLAC release with less game-compressed dynamics up his sleeve. Seems like he’s being coy about it just now though.
Is there a reason the Hyper Potions opening track "Friends" isn’t included?
This is going to be an unpopular opinion but I omitted it due to not fitting in with the rest of the music as well as it being a trimmed version of the original song.
I’ll say the same thing I already said about "SexyFrog" release.

Not quality you mean dynamics. Yes the above audio file seems more desirable but it merely the effect of re-recording audio. Re-recording introduces noise and peaks that severely affect the waveform which is why its not desirable. A spectrum analyzer would show you the quality by seeing where the song frequency cuts off. Notice the cut off on the images below.
Alexthegrand’s rip: (frequency rolls off at around 15-16khz)
My rip: (frequency rolls off like the source around 21khz)
Recording severely degraded the original audio even with the added transients. I definitely agree about higher dynamics being better though. 🙂 10-12db should be the minimum dynamic range to shoot for when mastering.
What? THIS is a rip, not the official soundtrack. I don’t see how it’s "worse", it’s straight-up files from the game.

From the preview tracks I think the mastering is still utter crap. I’m assuming the vinyl will just have lower volume but same mastering.
It’s a bit obvious that it was added in the game at the last minute. I do agree. Still, it is technically part of the game, much like that god-awful Street Fighter IV you probably all remember :3

Whelp, you can’t say I didn’t try…. ^_^; Clearly, your rip is far superior than mine’s.
Sounds Great!
is actually called "Hard Boiled Heavies Mischief Theme"
No pop-up window should appear there. You’re using an adblocker? Or you actually mean Adfly instead of nCrypt?
The official soundtrack is going to lack a lot of tracks, it sucks…
Shame it was encoded in OGG… MegaDrive/CD were lossless.
The official soundtrack is going to lack a lot of tracks, it sucks…yeah, i’d also loved at have a Flac version of this game music extraction 🙁
but again, SEGA found another trick to annoy us & as you said, i wonder if we will have this OST complete in Lossless one day ? not sure at all. 😐
//EDIT:
finally listened your version !!!!!.
you are right, my ears said that we can’t be wrong with the great dynamics of the tracks 😉
No, you should be better at this. It’s very easy.
If I have adBlock on, AdFly won’t work with me. If I pause adBlock, however, AdFly will work with me. Don’t know if that’s the problem most adblock users have but… Yeah! I just temporarily pause it and unpause the add-on after I download the file from MEGA.

You’re welcome!
I think it means to notify that it’s the complete sound track to Sonic Mania.
There’s an official vinyl release of Sonic Mania (http://vgmdb.net/album/69136), but it only has 16 tracks and only has music that’s original from the game and not remixes of older Sonic music.
