for the popular early 1980s show Hill Street Blues, which is considered a breakthro�gh
towards more realistic, unsentimental cop shows and paved the way for others, like
NYPD Blue, Law & Order, Homicide, etc.

The style is jazzy/bluesy, with electronic and acoustic instruments in the mix. The theme has
become a classic of its kind, like so many Mike Post signature tunes of the 80s.
