I’m asking because the polls about favorite couples, they tend to score high, yet of all the FFVII fanfics I’ve churned out lately on fanfiction.net, the only ones that seem to get negative reviews are when I have Cloud/Tifa as a happy couple. I can have him being abusive to her, and not a complaint. I have them content with each other, I get told it’s Cloud-bashing.

Tifa belongs to Barret. Cloud obviously doesn’t even like Tifa.

Although there is a connection between Cloud and Tiffa, in the original game, and the film. I do think he misses Aeris/Aerith.
