forums are (finally) back up: emails should work, avatars should be back up soon

super sorry this took so much longer than expected. ran into a huge number of technical and logistical problems due to how massive our database was and how much we had on the server.

emails should work right now, ability to change avatars should be coming online within the next day or two, still sorting out some server configuration stuff

if you have any technical problems since we moved, feel free to post them here

if someone still can’t access the site, inform them to clear their browser cache and flush their dns and it should start to work

No need to be such an ass, besides, if you’re that concerned about getting the latest version of vBulletin here, go ahead and pay for it; I’m sure many users would thank you [sarcasm, in case someone can’t tell, most users won’t give a damn, examples in this thread… Too].

Me? Offended? Nah, sorry it came out that way; given the health-conditions of the "previous" server (which most of us are somewhat privy to, for obvious reasons), not to mention the amount of data that has indeed been moved, I wouldn’t be so quick to spout stuff like are you fucking serious?

Given the state things were in, an extended amount of downtime was a likely possibility.

As for me being on holidays because of this downtime, meh, haven’t made my being fed up with the current state of things around here a secret on the few social networks I use, either.
Also, I’m going to enjoy a vacation anyway, I’ve got better stuff to do than care about this download-dump, for the time being. I’ll come back when I’ll come back.
