For example, it is my hope to be able to have genuine quality local copies of Jesper Kyd’s personal mixes of Borderlands 2 music as well as the music for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – Claptastic Voyage or Monarch Audio’s Battleborn: Attikus and The Thrall Rebellion, all of which are unsold and/or potentially are of higher quality than the in-game files. Whilst I could simply perform a personal trick where I use FRAPS & simply record the music, the WAV 48,000hz results most likely don’t hold accurate results & warrant the storage demand, nor do I have the tools & expertise to anylize them.
If there’s any known tool/trick to "web-ripping" these more obscure streams into genuine quality formats, I’d be very grateful to know of any.
JDownloader (http://jdownloader.org): Cross-platform. It can rip almost any embedded media file. Just copy the page URL, paste it into JDownloader, and it will find all the media files and download the ones you select
DownThemAll (http://www.downthemall.net): A Firefox extension. It doesn’t find as many media files as JDownloader
FlashGot (https://flashgot.net): Another Firefox extension. Originally designed to capture Flash media as they streamed, but now it can save other types of media, as well
There are many others, but the above are the ones I use the most, especially JDownloader. This article, "How to Record System Audio on Any Platform (http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/record-system-audio-platform/)," may give you ideas for capturing audio streams at a higher quality.

It’s plenty to investigate. Much appreciated!
