KevinG – A Word About My Previous Posts on the Forum

The great majority of posts I have made in the past have been taken down by MEGA and are no longer available.
I am getting a lot of private message requests about re-uploading things I have posted in the past.
I will not be re-uploading these items! If anyone would like to provide a new link for something I have posted in the past, please feel free to do so.

Please don’t get offended when I don’t respond to your re-up request, I posted A LOT of scores and I simply do not have the time to do it all again.
I will continue to post new scores when I can and be an active member of the forum, but please stop sending me re-up requests.

If I posted something you wanted please use the search function because there was at least one member who would take my post and re-post it as their own so you should be able to find the score from them, although they usually posted in mp3.

To the member(?) who turned me (and others) in to MEGA, I don’t know why you did it but you are a dick if you are still posting and downloading scores!

So, to recap…NO REUPS FROM ME and please quit sending me PM’s asking for them.

Yep, A real asshole… I stopped sharing for the moment because of that…

Maybe a good way would be to improve like that : to see the sharing links, share 10 soundtracks first.

I don’t think it was a legitimate member of the forum who turned you in. I suspect it was either a bot or a rep from one of the labels, like UMPG. They’re notorious for having stuff taken down on Youtube, too, even unlicensed covers of songs. I recently posted a few soundtracks on MEGA that weren’t even for sale anywhere, and they were almost immediately taken down, which suggests that it was a bot. I’ve taken to using http://keeplinks.eu as well as hosting services that require captchas. Hopefully this will foil the bots for a while.

The irony of calling such users "names", when we are often dicks ourselves to composers+every other individual involved in the manufacture and release of the stuff we illegally share. Get a fucking grip, folks, we’re no saints/good guys, either.

Besides, having copyright-holders, or those who act on their behalf "deploy" stuff like automatic-checkers, as someone already mentioned, is not unheard of.
For a while links used to die very fast (within 15 minutes, even) also on the original MEGAUPLOAD.com around here, years ago.
