Hunter x Hunter FLAC OSTs

Hello. I find that the music of HxH is a gem among gems (2011’s composed by the same guy as Death Note, no less). I’m crazy to get it. But… it’s so hard to find.

So I want to put all the links I’ve found in one place so far. Also, I have one OST whose link I’ve found nowhere, so I’ll be uploading it to share the love (and yes, making an own thread for it (Thread 78301)).

Anyways, I thought that maybe I could get help from you guys for the rest. I’m sure the posterity would appreciate it.

I have in FLAC: OST 1, 2, 3 (my own rip), Phantom Rouge, The Last Mission, Departure!, Just Awake, Hunting for Your Dream, Reason, Hyouri Ittai (+ Anime Version), Character Song Collection Phantom Troupe and HxH Select�Best�α (my own rip too). I can upload them but it will take a while. Do you want them?

Quick question though, I have a lot of OST (1TB in FLAC + some mp3), what is the best approach/site to upload them all?

Oh nice. Yes please! Of course. Specially OST #3. It’s got the best tracks! xD

Regarding your question, I noticed that all good links that I found were all Mega, regardless of how old they were. So that makes me believe Mega is ideal for a long lasting upload. Everything else I found was dead. (Mega also allows for batch upload and queuing, so that’s a plus.)

Which brings me to the following: having multiple mirrors of the same host doesn’t make sense to me. And given that there aren’t any other host worth using your bandwidth in (anybody is free to correct me on this), I wouldn’t recommend uploading the albums that are already uploaded in this topic. I honestly think that would be a waste of your bandwidth (again, somebody please correct me if I’m wrong).

Btw, I added a link to Last Mission’s to the list (my upload, not my rip)! So that’s one more down. 🙂

I received the Character Song 1 and 2 CDs, I have to rip them and upload them, so it will take maybe a week before I can share them here.

Oh nice. I came here to say that my internet has reached a new low and it will be a while till I upload the last 2011 single. But I also realized that one of the albums uploaded in this topic is a single compilation, and it already includes said single. So calderino812 was effectively right when he said all singles were complete. I guess there’s no real rush to upload it, but I’ll still do it when I can.

Track 4 of this seems to be cut short, "Requiem Aranea (Electronic Dance Remix)". VGMdb times the track at 3:26 while the rip stops at 2:45.

I know, i checked that but still weird that it says lame 3.99, if a log was provided i wouldn’t care but since these are individual tracks im concerned, MP3 encoders can reach 22.1 frequency range, and mediainfo text can be edited in the tag metadata any time.

The OST for phantom rouge is very hard to get in lossless, there is no available version on the net unless its mp3, if its a selfrip would be cool to prove it is, maybe include a log file or some kind of proof.

I’ve been looking for a cue featured in the Chimera Ant arc, which unfortunately isn’t in the OST 3 and (as my brother told me) neither in the OSTs for "Phantom Rouge" and "The Last Mission".

It is used a couple more times in the whole Chimera Ant arc, most notably when Colt finds the baby after the Queen’s death, at Gon & Pahm’s date, when Reina comes home.
My brother noticed that the cue is already featured (played under the piano) in the OST 1 in the cue "Those Called Friends".

I’m not sure if anyone here has a "clean" version of the cue (maybe from the Blu-Ray, if it exists?) but I’d totally love to hear it in its full emotional intensity.

Uhm, this site (https://sites.google.com/site/hxh2011ostlist/arcs/5-greed-island-arc-59-75) has a list of all released and unreleased music up to the Greed Island arc. So if you can manage to pinpoint the song before the Chimera Arc, you might be on to something. Sorry I can’t help any more than this. (Though you might want to search the web with the keyword "unreleased".) Maybe there’s a site somewhere else with an updated list?

That aside… I have begun to be suspicious that the single for ED4 just doesn’t exist, and it’s only included along the 5th. There’s no sign of it in vgmdb nor in any wiki(a). So I won’t be uploading a fake album, and I’ll be editing the first post accordingly. But if anybody has any proof that it exists, please make me know.

I’ll see if I can find something using "unreleased".

Do you know if the Blu-Ray (which apparently has been released) has stereo or surround audio?
Because if the latter is the case, most of the unreleased music could be ripped from the back channels, if they’re clean enough. I tried searching for hi-quality Blu-Ray rip of the episodes but all I could find was hi-quality in stereo.

Generally the voice actors sing a couple of songs "in character", acting as the character. They are no part of the soundtrack that appears in the anime, but are still official CDs.
