That’s Awesome!! Think you can Rip Donkey Kong Jr. Arcade & Donkey Kong 3 Arcade?
That’s a pretty arduous process because DK and DK Jr. use discrete sound hardware (i.e. no sound chip) which basically means the only way to extract the music is via the sound driver running in MAME. The arcade version of DK3 actually uses the same sound chip as the NES. I haven’t had a chance to compare these two soundtracks, are they really that different? Creating a rip of the NES music would be a lot easier.
I’ve Checked the Donkey Kong Jr. Music & they’re at least a little different. The Music I mainly need is the 2 Bird SFX from the Level 2 BGM, the Level 3 BGM–Even if it’s just made of SFX–and the Level 4 Clear! with the SFX removed. Thanks for pointing out that DK3 uses the same SFX chip. That helps save me some time!
