Hello, due to the Disney Music Thread 2.0 being closed for whatever reason, and my not wanting this to end, I’ve decided to bring the Disney Music sharing thing back, with only three rules:

1. If you request a link from me or any member who shared music in this thread, you must share some lossless (see rule #2) Disney music on this thread in return. I promise you this: you will receive your links.The goal here is more uploads, which will help this thread immensely for those newcomers who are interested in this stuff. That, and because I would like this thread to thrive and be resourceful.

2. Music posted here is in any lossless format. NO MP3 FILES. When the previous thread was up and running, it would drive me bonkers to download Disney music, open the zip file, and discover it was terrible mp3s instead of quality rips. This is 2017. In an age where people want high quality-sounding digital music, why are we still relying on old digital files that sound terrible?

3. No links requiring anyone to look at ads or participate in anything. NO SPAM. NO BS. If you can, PLEASE consider using MEGA (https://mega.nz/#login) for your uploads, because it is more reliable and quicker than other cloud services.

Thank you so much for the link. I can’t get mega to let me download the whole thing no matter what I do. It continues to stop me about 70% of the way through and tells me to wait five hours to continue. I don’t know if there is anyway to bypass that. It’s frustrating because I already tried waiting the five hours but by then my computer has restarted the download and the whole vicious cycle starts anew. Sigh.

Ok so I figured some shit out. I downloaded an external program called megadownloader to deal with the bandwith cap. In case anyone else ever has a problem, I wanted you to know what I did.

You are super fucking awesome for compiling all of these. I have purchased a few of them and plan on getting to them all eventually but this allows me to hear ahead of time the remastering, since some of them have apparently been updated and some of them haven’t. Like has Sleeping Beauty? Who knows. Time to let the ears decide.

Was informed that the first pressing/edition of the Disney Soundtrack is different from subsequent releases, and as I happen to have a CD of that release…

On "West Wing", it has that music that plays when The Beast and Belle are in the hallway, rather than the second wolf attack and the Transformation track is very different.

So I uploaded it in FLAC

As I said before, I have little to offer (that isn’t already on here) but there are one or two things I think some people have asked for (Disney’s Animal Kingdom CD from 1998 and the "Music from Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Epcot" CD from 1988 — which is going for BIG BUCKS on line, lol). What a sharp eye you have, Lady Amalthea. The (missing) track in question is track three from Side A of the third album, "The Vanishing Prairie – 1954" There may have been a severe skip and/or scratch that caused me to eliminate it from the original set I compiled, but I will dig out the albums and re-examine what happened there, and will send it along as soon as I’m able.
Interesting thing here… I went into the folder on Mega to look at the track listing, and the folder for that set is empty!! The rest of the items I’m up listed are all fine, so no telling what’s up there.

BTW, glad you’re enjoying "Simply Mad". I especially like Bobby McFerrin’s take on "The Siamese Song".

Hey, folks. We found that a track had dropped from the original set, was found and added for those who might still be interested in this wonderful 40-yr old vinyl set. There’s some great Disney tunes interspersed with dialogue from the original films which makes for a great listen, and I’ve gone in and tried to clean up as much of the pops, skips and what-not as I could. I would love to listen to the full Legacy Collection if someone might be kind enough to share a link, but the one piece I’m very keenly interested in is the "Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean — Theme Park Exclusive". That ride has always been dear to my heart since first experiencing it when I was 6 or 7.

Yeah, that’s definitely it. I had known of releases that had music from the parks, but never expected they might do one focusing on a single attraction and gathering what I suspect is every possible audio element together, including a great recreation of the full ride through experience. I would personally love the same treatment for the Haunted Mansion, that was another that made a lasting impression on me, but Pirates of the Caribbean would be my top favorite. Cheers!

There’s also the "Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection" 24-bit studio master FLAC albums for The Lion King, Toy Story, Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast on Qobuz (cheapest I think), ProStudioMasters, Acoustic Sounds and HDTracks (lacking The Lion King). Also not cheap nor available in a bundle discount. A shame all the other legacy releases aren’t available either. Nonetheless, would still be great if someone could get them.

I’m from Australia and always enjoy buying the park albums and music, however on my recent trip to Anaheim late last month I was hard pressed to find any new, or known park albums. On enquiry to two seperate castmembers I was told that they would no longer be selling CD’s (or DVD’s) at the parks.

Can anyone else confirm this? Or is this just a Disneyland thing?

They haven’t put out new Official Albums since 2013, though once in awhile something new turns up, like the Rivers of Light cd in Animal Kingdom. A real shame.

I know that out at the massive Disney Store in Disney Springs it’s getting harder and harder to find CDs and Videos, unless it’s for a current theatrical release (and even then…). The times they are a-changing… and it ain’t good

Meanwhile, TOKYO Disney RESORT is cranking out 10 or so park soundtrack albums a year – in addition to everything Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, along with Japan-only vanity albums. The marching band that plays inside Tokyo Disneyland released their own Best Of… soundtrack earlier this year.

Yes, it is really pathetic and frustrating… there is so much great music in the parks, and none of it is getting released anymore.

Yes, it seems to be the thing with parks owned wholly by Disney. Hence why now we don’t see any specials from Paris either anymore.

Does anyone know if the new Disney Studios BGM Swing music is out there?

Sort of. Two tracks can be found in a torrent called "WDW and UOR Newsgroup Loops Vol. 5". There are two tracks in it covering some of the new Studios music. One is "Center Stage area music, Disney’s Hollywood Studios (new loop, slight distortion) [IR, 1_00_45, 2018].flac" and the other is "Echo Lake area music, Disney’s Hollywood Studios (new loop, fair quality, slight to moderate distortion) [IR, 1_14_59, 2018].flac". I don’t know the source, but the quality isn’t bad. Perfectly listenable. I believe the torrent is on MouseBits.

Here is an odd one in Mp3 format from my local library. I can always borrow it again to get flac, just perhaps once all the construction is done with. I’ve avoiding going since everything is torn apart right now for new carpets.

Since TrueGator is sharing, I figured I would share as well. These are Disney Seaburg tracks. What are Seaburg tracks, you ask? The Seaburg machine was used by large stores in the 60s and 70s to play gentle instrumental music while shoppers went about their business. These are rare tracks as most Seaburgs have long since been destroyed, as well as the most of the records that played on the Seaburgs. I’ve collected these tracks in pieces over the years, and often times they’re untitled. I’ve shared this with a few other Disney enthusiasts who confirm the titles as I’ve listed with the exception of Femininity (from Summer Magic) – there is some debate as to whether that is the song. Although the Seeburg Corporation went out of business in 1980, the best of the Seeburg 1000 Background Music Library recordings (https://seeburg1000.com/) are livestreamed 24/7/365, courtesy of the Seeburg Music Library, Inc. You can even listen on your smartphone! Also, they sell CDs of the music, as well as t-shirts and hoodies!

Fun fact: The classic Seeburg M100C jukebox is featured early in the opening of the Happy Days TV series, although the actual spinning 45 rpm record shown is being played on a Rock-Ola.
