A few notes:
– These files come directly from the game with extraction and conversion done to MP3 (V1) by myself.
– I tried my best to properly tag and offer the songs in the best way I can with all the variations available. Because of this, it requires a bit of action on your side.
– This is NOT the Original Soundtrack that releases on March 29th.
– There’s one track that does not appear in the Jukebox, which I named "Crumbling Lies (Route C Opening)."
– Please do not listen to Emil’s Shop (DEATH VERSION). You have been warned. (It’s in the game like that.)
On the song/folder format:
– I placed the songs in Jukebox listing order.
– Files are in separate folders because of the nature of the BGMs. They come in a variety of quiet/medium/dynamic/8bit with the vocal track separately over it, this is how it’s played ingame. I humbly request you to mix your own vocals on versions as you like.
– Exceptions are some songs that only have a vocal/non-vocal version.
– I took liberty with "The Weight of the World (the End of YoRHa)." This song plays at the very end of the game (credits), and it comes in like 20 separate tracks that get dynamically mixed based on your progress during it. I encoded a few versions of the song that I feel like the majority would be okay with.
If there’s any questions or suggestions, please let me know.
With that said, please enjoy!

In regard to soundtrack itself, the song "Alien Manifestation" (with vocals) reminded me of a track from Ghost in the Shell that plays early in the movie. This one : M05 Chant II-Ghost City (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BKtYcE-14o).
I’ll be posting the OST rip shortly after release date when it arrives. Pre-ordered it a couple weeks ago.

Thank you.
Is it possible to release the original audio files, you extrackted from the game, the ones you converted later to mp3? I guess it must be ogg, I think, or wav. I would really appreciate it, please! I want to start mixing the whole thing, but I want to have the best quality available for this.

I’m so looking forward for your mixes. Thanks for the good work!
Thank you.
Everything that is separate already is, with the only exclusion being the End of YoRHa version of Weight of the World.
Thank you very much!

I… could? The only issue is that I encoded to mp3 before tagging everything. So I could upload the original files, but everything would be untagged with generic names like BGM_00_01_00003afcf.ogg. Alternatively, I could PM you with the tools and batch file I put together to unpack/extract the files directly from the game. You’d only need a copy of the PC version of the game. Just let me know.
Is it possible to extract sound effects like UI, menus, items..Etc?
It is, you just need a CPK unpacker and a dtt extractor. Look around on the facepunch forums in the NieR Automata models thread for the tools to do that.
Also, if the sound effects are also available, see if you can find the bell sound that plays as part of the music during the Simone battle. Kind of an out-there request, but it’s timed to the rhythm when the boss attacks and it would be cool to mix it into the boss track in question.
Semi-related since people here might be interested, I made mixes that fade between different versions of a couple of tracks from the original Nier. These variations were missing from the OST. Namely, the calm versions of Hills of Radiant Wind and The Lost Forest, and a version of Shadowlord that fades into music box at the end:

With Mega, you have to post the link with the encryption key, otherwise the file is inaccessible.
Anyway, listening through the Automata rips and "A Beautiful Song phase 2" seems to just be Grandma – Destruction. A mixup? Maybe that track is supposed to be the bells, that would be convenient.
Also the "scene change" version of Dark Colossus is actually the percussion track – it’s supposed to be overlaid with one or more of the others.
Additionally, the route C opening track is actually what you called Crumbling Lies (Front), the one you have labeled as Route C Opening is actually the music from the trailer that plays if you wait at the title screen. (I’m making notes here as I listen through it)
As for the Dark Colossus one (and all the other "background" tracks), I just guessed titles since those things don’t play in the jukebox but are listed close to each other in the archive (and have the same duration).
Crumbling Lies (Front) is the correct version. Just listen to the Jukebox. The Route C Opening is Sound of the End (Quiet) transitioning into Crumbling Lies (Front).

I guess the Jukebox mislabels it as well then. The song called "Route C Opening" in your rip definitely is the version that plays at the title screen and not the one that actually plays during said opening.
I half misread your post. I thought you meant that "Route C Opening" was actually Crumbling Lies (Front).
And I uploaded a torrent on nyaa, just search for NieR: Automata Soundtrack.
Yes, it will be ok, if you will just upload the untagged ogg files. It will completely enough. Thanx!

I’m so looking forward for your mixes. Thanks for the good work!
Thank you, hope you’ll like it! I also almost finished mixing Drakengard 3 soundtrack, but it is only on my Youtube channel at the moment, check these out if you like:

Also, I’ve got to second the request for the full ripped files as they were before MP3 conversion, regardless of tagging and whatnot. For science.
What do you mean? It’s more common than you think
Thread 189898
…OH right I forgot this was a rip and not an OST haha my bad. I was thinking "man this is weird for an OST" but no since it’s a rip this makes more sense. Sorry I’m dumb.

The link for the Lost Forest is not working 🙁
By the way, the Shade and Rays of Light versions of City Ruins have their names mixed up in OP’s rip.
Can you do that, please? I don’t know how to extract it on my own, I’m not good at this at all 🙁
Edit: Looks like someone posted them here: Thread 215929
Only "lossless" in the sense of being the original game files though. Obviously they are still compressed, but only once instead of twice or thrice.
And I know this is a weird question, but any chance the voice files could be shared aswell?

You might want to check if the link in this thread still works: http://forums.ffshrine.org/showthread.php?t=215929.
Oh I totally missed that thread! Thanks a lot! <3

what did you leave out? I’d like to get absolutely everything.
Seconded
and
Voice of no Return (Normal – no Vocals)
seem to be identical
Thanks for the effort guys! Amazing OST coming from SQEX this year (it compensates the bland one FF XV OST is…)
Yeah… Automata destroys FFXV in every department haha.
