THE ENDING OF SPLIT, EXPLAINED
James McAvoy’s character is about to kill Casey, because he believes she is impure; she has never suffered. However he sees scars of self harm on her shoulders and waist, and spares her. He then escapes, leaving a trace of people behind him. Due to the description of his personalities and his method of killing he is named ‘The Horde’, similar to how Elijah in Unbreakable was named ‘Mr. Glass’.
Bruce Willis’ cameo as David Dunn (shown on his name tag), reveals that the film exists in the same universe or world as Unbreakable. It is likely that The Horde and Dunn will have a conflict in one M. Night Shyamalan’s next film.
In conclusion The film Split is an origin story to ‘The Horde’ (James McAvoy). This film exists in the same world as ‘Unbreakable’. The film is effectively the sequel to Unbreakable, and a prequel to the next Unbreakable film, thus David Dunn (Bruce Willis) appears to show that the films occur in the same world.

Here’s an early spoiler that I missed.
Not a perfect lineup on the cracks, but pretty damn close.
Best thing of all: Knight, after a string of duds and they were rightfully duds, has, like Austin Powers, found his mojo.
Honestly, I can’t wait! 😀 And honestly hope that Shyamalan will reunite with James Newton Howard for the score!
For sure, if James Newton Howard will score "Glass".
Well, I also hope that Shyamalan will bring something fresh and extremely good (like in his old days) to the superhero genre, it would be awesome.
