Hello BobtheKnob,

Many thanks for these recordings by Maestro Muti!

I can’t wait to discover the performance of Stravinsky’s Rite.

So far, my own favorite version of the ballet is Antal Dorati’s conducting the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra recorded in the 80’s for Decca… maybe i’ll change my mind after playing Muti and the Philadelphia…

I’ll let you know, dear friend! 😉

Oops! My mistake… Dorati’s orchestra was Detroit and not Cincinnati! My sincere apologies!

EXCEPTIONAL performances by Maestro Muti!

One more time, while I play the astounding interpretations of major works you share with us, it becomes difficult for me to remain inflexible in what I considered so far as my favorite versions!

You definitely install doubts in my certitudes! 😉

BRAVO!!!

… and give us MORE, please!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Thank you very much, bob, for another great recording! This is my first time hearing these Muti renditions, and I’m always eager to hear different interpretations of "Pictures…" and "Rite…"!
