Passengers (For Your Consideration + Custom Edit @FLAC) – Thomas Newman

INTRODUCTION:

Hey there once again fellow Shriners! I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again… I always strive to provide users great film music content, with what I like to call "musical force" or "FORZA" and this is no exception! I proudly present to you the For Your Consideration Score from the 2016 film, "Passengers".

THE PROCESS:

To create this I’ve combined the 10 track For Your Consideration Score (includes some cues with unreleased material as well as tracks the same as in the Original Soundtrack) and the Original Soundtrack. I went and saw the film (I might have recorded it for myself so I could actually make film mixes and be able to order cues correctly… shhh) so I could use it as a reference, patched, spliced and crossfaded audio to achieve film mixes when possible, all of it in chronological order (the Original Soundtrack was an absolute mess). All in all, my goal was to achieve a smoother listening experience than what the Original Soundtrack offered, closer to what the film features, since the OST album was all over the place. Some track names were changed here and there, but this edition mostly follows the same structure as the Original Soundtrack album in terms of track names. I hated the OST’s cover, so I made my own ;). Everything is properly tagged and ready to go!

Just a note: The thread title is misleading!

The OST I thought was enjoyable, at times very reminiscent of Spectre.

So, if I got that right, it’s sort of ”complete”?

Very little music missing. Not very important, but missing nonetheless.

I haven’t seen the film yet, but, deary me, did it get a load of very silly flak from some people! It was even called "a misogynist’s fantasy" and "very typical of rape culture" by the usual – very rabid – suspects.
