inbox / private message issues should be resolved now

an out of date script allowed the files to be overwritten, should be resolved now.

no reason to believe anything was compromised beyond that, no malicious scripts were found elsewhere, but if you’d like to be cautious change your password!

if you sent any private information *through* the form, be aware that the people who compromised the script likely have that info. because it looked nothing like the normal page i’m hoping no one was fooled by that but who knows

Btw – the site doesn’t send out emails anymore (I think that function was also hacked?) so changing one’s password is essentially impossible…

Thanks so much for fixing the PM system!!! Every time some kind of malfunction happens to the site I freakout because I’m worried it might be permanent and the forum is down for good. I don’t know of any other sites for music sharing as good as this one with (mostly)! friendly/helpful members!! It would be a horrible blow if any part of the forum was ever shut down, So I sincerely thank everyone who takes the time to keep the whole site up and running smoothly!!!!! Have a great/safe week.

Sorry to be that guy, but is there a way to fix the issue with e-mails the board is having? Should we count them dead for good? Last we heard about that was something along the lines of: "work is being done to fix it," but months have gone by.
