Hey guys,

Here’s a link for the new music in FFXIV Patch 3.5 – The Far Edge of Fate. There were 10 tracks new to the data files, however 3 of them were older tracks (character creation screen for ARR, Quicksand from 1.0 which is being used in Sohm Al hard, and the reverb Answers track played during the anniversary event) and there was that weird 7 second jingle I haven’t heard anywhere else in the game yet. This brought me down to 6 tracks, and one of them was a duplicate of each other so that brought the total down to 5 new tracks in total.

As the game isn’t live yet I haven’t located where the songs play, but here’s just some initial speculation:

~56ef37cd – Possibly Zurvan or Garo event song. The song sounds stylistically different than anything I’ve heard from Soken before (it actually sounds more like a Falcom song…) so that’s why I’m leaning towards Garo on this. Could be wrong though!

~64fe1eaaa – Sounds like Dun Scaith, the new 24 man raid.

~235e647a – Another Dun Scaith song. Could possibly be for the last boss.

~27622bfb – Probably for Baelsar’s Wall. Has a bit of the Gridania theme near the end of the loop, and Gyr Abania is on the Gridanian border, so might not be a coincidence.

~cfa88e62 – The other possibility for Zurvan or Garo event song. There’s not a lot going on with this song, which leads me to think it’s maybe not grandiose enough for Zurvan. Maybe Soken just really threw me for a loop with that first song and made it for Zurvan.

Feel free to update which is what, as I won’t have a chance to mess with the game until late tomorrow night.

I only had a chance to do Zurvan before work but I can at least tag two of these songs.

Unlike the previous primal fights Zurvan has three themes. His intro plays Battle to the Death from 3.2, then ~cfa88e62 is his first actual phase. After his ultimate, the song shifts uptempo and ~56ef37cd is the second half. His theme as a whole is called Infinity, although if that combines both themes I don’t know.

Cool thanks. I didn’t consider that Zurvan had two unique songs.

There was a Reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/5og037/complete_list_of_new_orchestrion_songs_with_links/) with all of the new Orchestrion rolls they added for 3.5 and they had them for what seems all the new songs I believe. (unless the Zurvan theme is two different songs)

Promises – probably ~64fe1eaaa

Shadow of the Body – probably ~235e647a

Another Brick – ~27622bfb

And then Infinity, where it remains to be seen if they’re considered one track or two. If I get some time I might see if there’s any way I can get the tracks to blend but it’ll probably be hard.

Can confirm Another Brick. Zurvan does have two songs in the files.

So the game files actually have a section for the Orchestrion in them. The shorter file (~56ef37cd) is in the Orchestrion and is the Infinity song. So not sure what the official title of the other Zurvan song is yet.
