This is the original soundtrack to the 1986 OVA of the same name, directed and created by Tomonori Kogawa. Besides a copy that’s
currently available for sale on eBay, this album is pretty hard to find. But oddly enough, there was a promo copy of the album over at
Yahoo Auctions JP that had been up for sale for a VERY long time a few months ago…it was weird that nobody wanted it, especially since it was
in good condition, so I decided to get it myself.
It’s fantastic! Kind of a shame that the album was short, though. Also a shame that Pony Canyon doesn’t want to release this on CD alongside
the OST for Tomonori Kogawa’s "Greed" OVA…
This is also probably the first time I’ve seen an OVA OST include an instrumental version of the
ending theme song. I think that’s pretty interesting since that’s something that you don’t really see
that often in various other 80s OVA OSTs.
