The packaging reflects the content. A lot of empty, RCP-fuelled running music, some anaemic synths.
No AC2 but good nonetheless.
The cover art is garbage lmao
Good to know. I’ll gladly avoid this then.
Thank You.
With MPVS Hosts blocking it, that means JDownloader can’t process it either.
uBlock Origin has prevented the following page from loading:

Temporarily allowing it doesn’t change anything.
It actually redirects to ads with no second step in the link referral.
You say it "reflects the content"… have you seen the film already? I’m thoroughly enjoying the track "The Animus Room"
As expected.. wasn’t planning to get it, as I suspected of that, anyway but I appreciate the confirmation.
I think he just means the crappy art work reflects how he views the overall score for the movie is. Not the movie itself. I actually thinks it fits well with the overall feel of what Assassin’s Creed is in the video games. No its not Jasper Kyd’s AC2 but I think it works and deserves a listen at the least. I am enjoying the distinctions between the now in the Animus and the past during the Spanish Inquisition but more so how parts blend from the present to the past. It seems appropriate since the trailers show certain scenes that bleed in between the characters actions in the Animus simultaneously with the actions of their assassin ancestors.

In other words, quite a lot like Kyd’s score for AC1.
Original digital release this is 21 track’s version (with song). My share just without song. Maybe CD release have got this tracklist, don’t know.
Michael Fassbender does not disappoint. Great Story. Loved it.
Will watch it again with Subtitles. Did not get everything about the complete Story.

I was sceptical at first, since I’d never heard of this composer (apparently he’s the director’s brother) but now that I’ve listened through this a couple times, I have to admit I really enjoy it. And I have a feeling it will play well in the movie.
In fact I’d go as far as to say this is one of the worst film scores I’ve heard for a major blockbuster in a long time, and I’ve had no problem with the RCP sound on many occasions.
This score literally could have been composed by anybody. It’s bland, nothing but endless soundscape, and worse yet it’s practically all composed in the same key. This score isn’t even good enough to be labelled as "wallpaper" scoring, you couldn’t fit this level of generic on any wall. People have got the nerve to go after Henry Jackman for Winter Soldier and Zimmer for Man of Steel? When this is much, much worse. Massive thumbs down from me.
I’m not looking for boring Williams with the same 3 notes on loop.
Structure wasn’t a key element, given it’s a sci-fi movie based on a video game that’s about sci-fi.
The cold keys are meant to reflect the given environment the "assassins" are given.

Seems that was an early tracklist leak. The final release version only has 21 tracks and different track titles.
I believe that also happened with the OST album for Jurassic World. A few tracks were dropped before the album was released and were replaced with some not so great bonus tracks. I’m hoping there will be a deluxe edition album some time in the future!
Thanks for the share.
I do not think that for many this is good news, but not for me xd

I’m skeptical but willing to give it a shot. Kurzel would not have been someone I would’ve remotely considered (though I can see his appeal to Scott, as he seems to be keen on the sound design approach to score recently). Maybe that’s a good thing, though. Great films are made by artists with a singular vision, not designed by committee with an eye to pleasing a small but vocal group of fans. Not to draw unwarranted comparisons, but Affleck as Batman is also someone I would’ve never thought of, and regardless of what you thought of the film, the consensus seems to be that he was a great choice.
My concern with Kurzel is that he’s yet to really impress or stand out as a composer. I’m not sure what his style or voice is, and he hasn’t shown any melodic or thematic inclinations. I thought Prometheus had a great score, my favorite of Streitenfeld’s, so I’m disappointed that neither he or Greyson-Williams will be back. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how it turns out.
Ugh, please. Assassin’s Creed isn’t up to par with Goldsmith, but it at least sounds like it was the product of one pen, not twelve. Put it another way: when I listen to AC, I hear Kurzel; when I listen The Great Wall, I hear I’M LIKE ZIMMER, TOO.
There are actually 2 separate soundtrack releases for this movie:
– MP3 / Vinyl with 21 tracks
– Audio CD with 23 tracks
What’s posted here is the Audio CD version without the last 3 tracks. The length of some tracks varies between 21 & 23 versions.
Like
"16. Columbus Suite – To The Port" from 23 track version is 01:24
and
"14. Columbus" from 21 track version is 02:11
etc.
