PS Vita Game Rips

Hey guys,

I had been filling some of the PS Vita game rip requests in the Requests section, so I figured I’d make a more dedicated post for them for better exposure in case others were looking for these and don’t view that section of the forums much. (especially for posts that are going back 2+ years ago)

Links are below in the spoiler tags. I would be willing to take requests for Vita games since they seem pretty easy to do now. I really don’t want to overlap with games where there is already a OST release for. I can’t promise I can do every request either since it comes down to me being able to find a .vpk of the game and it not having any of its game files encrypted. (I’ve only ran into one like this so far, out of the 5 or so I’ve done)

Utakumi 575 rip is awesome, but the songs doesn’t have any singing, just music… it must be because you have to "make songs" by yourself in this game, so it is impossible to rip with lyrics intact… Oh well.

I am pre-requesting SD Gundam G Generation -Genesis-, will be released next Tuesday.
And REquesting: Taiko no Tatsujin -V Version- (with DLC songs if possible…)

Hi my friends =) I think there is an ost may be going for the rip child of light. D ost rip it lacks music like the cheer who sings in the church (before the 1st boos) and the track of victory does not understand of cheur while the verification PSVita there is its. There’s not a rip of this game yet. Apparently it’s an issue with some newer firmware the Vita is running hasn’t been cracked yet. This may hold true for any newer games, but I’ll be watching for updates.

Regarding Taiko No Tatsujin, this one is kind of a weird one. I can access the sound banks, (DLC included) however they’re in a nus3bank format. There are tools that have worked on other consoles for this format, such as the 3DS, but they don’t seem to be working on the Vita files for some reason. I’ve tried the vgmstream plugin for Foobar, which is supposed to be compatible with nus3bank, and even that won’t play them.

I have been able to work around this to some degree, but I’ve ran into another issue. Each of the files have a WAV file header, but only some of them are valid to convert with at9tool. So basically, you’re going to end up with an incomplete rip if I do this one. Over half of the songs of the original game aren’t converting and I haven’t tried the DLC songs yet since I don’t want to waste anymore time with it if you’re not willing to take an incomplete rip. So just let me know what you want to do on this one.

Also, just for sating my personal curiosity I looked into Dragon Quest Builders and Dragon Quest Heroes 2. DQH2 there are no new tracks at all. They either reuse older DQ games or the original DQH songs. For DQB, the files are in some sort of sequenced format that isn’t currently decodeable, but just by simply looking at the file names it looks like it takes all of its music from DQ1-4, so there’s probably nothing new there either. So just in case people wanted to know, you’re probably missing nothing new in those games.

It’s OK, I was pretty sure Taiko games are very tightly protected, so no problem, don’t waste your time with it no more 😀

Can you do PUNCH LINE for Vita then? It has music by Tetsuya Komuro, but they didn’t release an OST for this game at all. The anime was so good, it began pretty bad but it won my heart later on, so hearing the music of the game would be awesome.

Haven’t seen a dump of the game image for this yet. There’s requests out there, must be a rare one or a problem with the new Vita firmware.

Didn’t have much luck with this one. I found some files with WAV headers but couldn’t find anything that would decode them properly.
