DON GILLIS: Joyful and Triumphant & MORTON GOULD: Christmas Hymns & Carols 2 OOP LPs

Here are two musical "Ghosts" of Christmas Past. I say ghosts because both of these albums have been out of print for 50+ years and to my knowledge have never appeared legitimately on CD or any other format since their initial releases. "Joyful and Triumphant", A Christmas Sound Spectacular For Brass, Percussion, Symphony Orchestra And Chorus, arranged by American composer Don Gillis was a "Living Stereo" recording released on the RCA Custom label in 1963 while American composer Morton Gould’s arrangements of Christmas hymns and tunes dates at least a decade or more earlier during the 10 inch LP era (although it was later reissued as an inferior compressed 12 inch LP). "Joyful and Triumphant" was transferred from an original early 1960s RCA Custom Dynagroove stereo pressing in very good condition and the Morton Gould was archived from an original 10 LP in reasonably good condition, both of which cleaned up very nicely and preserved in digital format. These two rare holiday recordings are well worth a listen. I hope you agree.
