Thank you so much, Bob!
Thank you so much, bob, for not only continuing your usual extremely high level of commitment to sharing excellent music in a variety of audio formats but now adding on additional work on your end to ensure that we continue to benefit from those efforts. I have only a passing familiarity with Ives, and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to educate myself as I read your notes and listen through this cycle of symphonic recordings.
2-Channel 96 kHz/24-bit – FLAC
Standard CD 44.1 kHz/16-bit – FLAC
Thanks in advance
When I first uploaded this last year, it was at 96 kHz for the SACD layer. Since then, I have learned that it is better to rip SACDs at 88.2 kHz, because that way the waveform is proportional to the original DSD signal, which results in smoother sound at the higher frequencies. I don’t know if it will make an audible difference to anyone, but especially considering that it also makes for slightly smaller .flac files, I figured it would be a good move to make, regardless.
(The links are in the OP now. I’m not doing links via PM anymore. That absolutely wore me out.)
