Hans Zimmer – Inception (Complete / Film Mix / Lossless)

Preface: As some of you are aware, I produced all of the mainstream "fan-made" film versions for Interstellar. This one was personal. After a tragic death in my family, I became emotionally invested in this score. I personally wanted to utilize every drop of my talent to present the film score community an amazing listening experience that they will never let go of. For the first time you will hear Inception the way it was meant to be heard, after six long years.

Project Details: Hundreds of hours have been poured into this project. Every track has been reworked totally, from the ground up. Every track is film mix perfect – here’s a taste of the bulk of work involved:

1m04-5s_I’m Still Dreaming (is a missing cue, ripped and added all Piaf transition inserts, source cues, only track with SFX, but it’s necessary)
1m02_Stealing Secrets (Cuts a few seconds ahead at time-shift transition, many misc micro-edits)
1m07_Hotel & Helicopter (added film version ending)
2m08b-09s_Shared Dreaming (is a missing cue, was re-acquired without SFX)
2m13_Mombassa Chase (Reproduced two micro-edits in the second half)
3m16_Strategy (piaf slowdown + reversed end insert @ 5:50)
3m18_Dreams Or Memories (Extra brass Burst @ 5:21, pulled from Blu-ray)
4m22_Looking Into Limbo (Implemented track extension @2:30 -> implement film insert)
4m23_Saitos Fate (Missing Intro, crec is lower vol)
4m24_Disappointed (added perc outro, added close-mic’d solo string stem)
4m25_Mal And Cobb (Cut ahead at transition, Synth Louder in Mix @ 5:50-end)
5m26_Into The Van (Implement film intro)
5m27_Mr Charles (implement both film inserts, sound design from "above dream" @ 1:46~, implemented time slowdown, misc micro-edits)
5m28_Destabilization (added film intro, film insert)
6m30-33_To The Complex (Flac set missed intro, added via previous lossy leak, added Piaf source insert 1 & Piaf source outro)
6m35_It’s A Trap (added both film inserts, rest before climax, added perc intro)
7m39-43s_Truth Once Known (added film intro, add small film insert, added Piaf source cue insert @ 4:44)
7m44-45s_Fischer And Son (added insert 1 (retime kick/"Bwahh" hits to match film tempo, insert Piaf brass source, re-tempo that to match film version), added insert 2 outro, re-tempo Piaf brass source to 72 BPM)
7m48_End Credits

Created universal cross-fade template, laid with precision against film audio

piaf cues 1m04s, 2m09s, 6m34s, 7m45s
1m04s is when the Japanese kid on the train initiates the kick.
2m09s is when Arthur and Ariadne are at the coffee shop ("think about it, Ariadne. How did you get here?")
6m34s is when the kick is initiated when they’re on the snow/mountain fort level.
7m45s is when Arthur initiates the final kick and blows the elevator.

The Score:

All 35 cues present here are in 16-bit, 44.1kHz lossless resolution, inserts sourced from lossless Blu-ray 5.1 DTS-HD.

The ‘End Credits’ audio is ripped straight from a 5.1 bluray, so that is inexplicably false.

Strange… I swear my DVD does that. Very very strange.

If your DVD does that, throw it away.

Great share though! Thanks for the artwork. My previous cover was 350 square. Just wondering, why is it that you chose 801×801? Lol, it doesn’t really matter.

I had just one Issue, with one very tiny thing in one particular cue:

-5m28 Destablilzation –> @1:12 There is an insert to this cue in the film version that is included here too (Kind of percussion thing. Exactly when Artur pushes that guy down to the Elevator door), and (to me) to be "right" and fit exactly with the film cue, that percussion repeats again in 1:14 and 1:16. But, the "issue" that I heard there, is that there is an "additional" percussion beat @1:15 that should not be there, so the cue you make here sound exactly like the film one.

That’s it. That’s the only little thing that I perceive like abnormal and bothered me with that particular track. And I could not help but notice that little thing, since its one of my favorite cues in all the score.

So, I just would like to know if that "thing" is because that insert you used comes from the Blu-ray itself (maybe it’s because a little SFX or something). :O

Again, besides that. It’s a perfect film mix. I love it.

Yeah it was a conform used to mitigate sfx, it is the closest we’ll ever get to the film version
