Why Does He Not Post?
We had a brief video chat, he looked like hell. 7 hour flight to Dubai, 9 hour flight to Japan lol
I was about 3/4 way through when I realized there was ice in the tray in the freezer.
So I stopped and poured myself another glass of water.
Only this time I put ice in it.
I was about 1/2 way through when I realized there was a Brita jug in the fridge.
So I stopped and poured myself another glass of water from the Brita jug.
Only this time it was filtered and I used the second tray of ice cubes that also had used water from the Brita jug.
Now I’ve got myself a clean glass of water to drink from.
But why stop there?
I filtered the water twice and then boiled it and let it cool.
I let the ice turn into ice.
When all was ready to consume, I took my first drink.
I took my second drink.
Water has never been so bland before.
It was right then, I knew, that the tap water had flavor because of the chlorine.
So with the tap water that made no difference, I made myself some Kool-Aid and proceeded to join the rest of the group in the living room watching the syndicated commercials that told me what I need to live in this world as part of a larger social structure that determines the fate of millions.
I finally learned peace.
One sip at a time.
Today the Kool-Aid, tomorrow the voting.
God save the planet.
Hah. No. He’s been home all summer. He just arrived, school starts in September. So he’s got like 2/3 weeks. I’m sure he’ll be around and can fill y’all in. It’s not for me to say, plus he’ll be looking forward to telling everyone. And, I’m detracting from this thread.
