Also, it’s a shame it’s not real lossless. I had no way of knowing, as I’m not very good with a spectogram.
Don’t you ALL forget that.
If it’s true lossless, the frequencies usually will reach all the way up to 22 kHz, or higher than that, in some cases. If they have a cutoff of around 20 kHz or any value lower than that, they aren’t true lossless.
Not all lossless recordings extend that far up. There could be a rolloff, a pass-filter, the equipment used to record, or anything of the sort which will cause the frequencies to look like they’ve fallen away. What you WANT to look for, is a shelf. A solid line. That will indicate that the audio has been "cut off", shelved, compressed, whatever.
Lossless:
Lossy:
Furthermore, you can see if audio is compressed a number of ways. Personally I use Audacity and a range setting of 115-145. Here’s the same song in lossless, but with Audacity to give much more detail.
The technical aspects are hard to know, it sometimes is just the music and the microphone placement that won’t get much more information, other times it’s the own recording ancillaries don’t having much response (or not being linear enough) to catch the to frequencies. It could be a mastering decision, sometimes it’s the engineer deciding to apply a soft lowpass filtering at 20-22KHz. Either way we can only see that top frequencies aren’t cut off in an abrupt way and that the information above 16KHz blends smoothly, without any glitches or block into the very top noise, which is present and displayed with much detail.
No its lossy, I Was Just Stating the facts. And I’m not sure if a lossless version even exists out there anyways
Lol if I had it, I would have shared it already.
One day Prisoner of Azkaban will show up and no one will download it thinking it’s fake xD
Good news is, you can’t easily fake that one. It’s not like Star Wars, where various bits are ripped cleanly from video games.
Which is why when somebody says they have Star Wars, you always ask for something NOT in the games, like Padme’s Visit. I have heard of people claiming to have them and I’ve listened and discovered cue covers for pieces not available clean and the sad thing is some actually believe they have the real thing (or they’re Lubrick)
A laugh at score hoarders that are obsessed, or hoax some other score hoarder to get interesting scores in exchange.
They just scam people. Garage was one of the worst scammers, I remember. I wonder if he’s still around?…
(X-Files Music Plays) :erm:
Garage is the reason why we can’t have nice things
Where can we find covers?
(X-Files Music Plays) :erm:
LOL 🙂

Thank you!
Where can we find covers?
HERE (Thread 187108) is the alphabetical index and if you can’t find what you want then go HERE (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/official-custom-covers-thread-90457/#post1694819) and request something (the actual page the index refers to).
Thanks for the share BTW!
Williams was on a very tight schedule in 2002 (which is why he took a very long holiday throughout 2003) and William Ross was hired to adapt cues for use in CoS. Either Williams just copy-and-pasted what he’d done for Clones into the Quidditch match cue, or Ross did it for him.
Actually, I think that "Zam the Assassin" took the melody from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in the first place, and just sped it up to a faster tempo. Listen (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NPzY6oQemk&t=1m38s).
No one has it, apparently.
If that’s true, then it means no sound editors grabbed it when they were working on the film, and no sound editors grabbed it when they were working on the 2-disc DVD menus.

La-La Land several years back teased a Harry Potter project, but nothing has come of it as of yet. Maybe it’s Azkaban. If it was a release for any of the other films, they might have just scrapped it since the sessions leaked quite some time ago for those seven.
Well, ggctuk, there it is.
The sessions leaking would not be an adequate reason for shelving a project like that. After all, the Matrix sessions are out there and it didn’t stop them from bringing out the expanded Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, in spite of the fact that the Matrix franchise is essentially dead.
Well, ggctuk, there it is.

They look fairly similar, yeah.
But back to the snitch cue, goddamnit, we’re talking about the same track, you can put one above the other. It’s frankly very weird considering that both scores are absolutely great.. no matter how tight the schedule was, JW delivered a sublime job on both of them.
