Ashita Tenki ni Naare ~ Michiru Oshima (lossless)

"Ashita Tenki ni Naare" was a romantic-comedy TV series from 2003 about a single mom (with daughter) whose life is turned upside down when she falls for a TV producer who wants to cast her as the weather girl on his TV show “News #1.” Oshima’s orchestral score is both pensive and bright and is exactly the kind of charming music many associate with the composer. There are the usual piano solos, a short blast of music representing the opening of the TV show, and several energetic pieces when things must have really been looking up. The score ends with the song “Wanna Be Your Girlfriend” composed by Malibu Convertible(!) but not as the expected cheesy vocal, but as a music box version.
