I’ve always loved 2012’s Skyfall since my very first view: it’s basically throught this movie that I took interest into Thomas Newman’s scores and Roger Deakins’s breathtaking cinematography (what a shame both of them don’t have an Oscar yet!) and in the Bond movies in general.
When I found out there was a 2CD Promotional Score for the movie, I was extremely excited about it, but I couldn’t find it here on Shrine or elsewhere.

Recently I managed to get the files, but the music is (at times) edited. I discovered it’s due to the Academy rules for Promos: the score featured passages of Monty Norman’s James Bond theme, but the music on the CDs had to be Newman’s own work only. Thus, said passages had to be cut away. Check the tracklist to see which tracks are edited.

As a result, the listening experience isn’t the best. At times, my ears were bleeding because of those editings. If you want to collect this Promo anyway, use the link below.

As for now, I just gave a quick listen, but I clearly remember "Ronson / Cars" (it’s missing the opening brass section), "Bikes / Roof" (a piece from the ending, it’s painful to listen) and "Q / Shanghai Skyline" (a weird edit of some kind).
I think there are others too, but I cannot remember…

Nice to finally see this surface in lossless. And yes, it sucks that it can’t include Norman’s Bond theme, but it’s not really fair if an FYC features music that’s not by the one composer and he/she only.

Macau Casino is a great cue, but for the FYC it’s only Newman. In the film it has an instrumental of Skyfall. KaFaraqGatri’s edit really is the best for listening experience. It’s the one I got and it gets played daily

I’m wondering what will happen with Desplat’s "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" score… It will obviously get a FYC, will they cut away Williams’s themes? That would be horrible!

I think KaFaraqGatri’s edit can get a lossless upgrade now… It would be great! But I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t do it.

I only watched the "Daniel Craig" Bond movies and David Arnold isn’t my ear’s favourite xD
I watched some of the older movies while zapping on tv, but I didn’t really care for the movie itself and its scores.

I’m working on an Expanded Score of "007 Skyfall" in lossless, combining the OST and the FYC, and a few other sources. As for now, I’ve completed the process of restoring the FYC cues that were edited, but I still have to work on some things.

Also, I’ve added more details on the first page on which cues are edited in the FYC.
