Pretty good but I still like Tyler’s fanfare better.
i also prefeer Tyler’s fanfare, but i prefeer giacchino as composer, wonder if it will be for Doctor strange only or the official fanfare.

Not that I doubt you, but this is really 320? Not sourced from the video?
The logo itself is also extremely long and a bit self indulged with all the Avengers imagery. I don’t know too many logos that act as a highlight reel of previous movies.
If it wasn’t a legitimate 320 bit rate, then it would cutoff at slightly higher than 15 kHz, the latter (15 kHz), or a little lower.

Where can I see the animation? Is it already being used? I thought Doctor Strange would be the first movie to use it.

Never mind. Here is the animation. A bit too much, I think. Not subtle and very easily dated. Oh why, Marvel, why fix something that ain’t broken?

Agreed. The entire animation, music and all, is inferior to what came before it.

Thank you! I’m only just wondering if it’s a genuine 320kbps bit rate. :p
It isn’t. It’s just from YouTube – it’s 192kbps. Recording has no clue what he’s doing so he either upconverted it himself, or a program told him it could "get" the audio in 320.
It Is Just Any Excuse To Make A Deal. Just Ignore It.
"You people"? It was just two of us, lol.
Also, we were just speculating. It was never a deal in the first place, only speculation. I’m thankful for the upload nonetheless.
There is nothing to speculate about

Well Said.
Well, yes and no. It was just my wondering if it was a genuine 320kbps or not. :p
Still super-hyped for Doctor Strange, both movie and soundtrack.
and the clip is horrible with the real movie footages… the whole thing feels like backwards, not in a good way..
btw, the concept is quite similar with the opening of jonny quest (90’s version)
and the music has a cartoon feel, too bright. even jonny quest has a much better theme
Speaking of which, there was an extended version of Brian Tyler’s Marvel fanfare which was played before the GOTG premiere. Does anyone have it in decent quality (unlike the video)?

Holy fuck, how long does a title card have to last… Seriously. The last one was so good, this one is just overkill and plain ugly. The comic book panes were so much better.
Here is some artwork for those who want it. First one was composited from scratch using a YT screenshot. Harder than I thought it was lol :p

A lot of people are bashing the new logo and music so far, but I love Giacchino’s theme. It’s heroic enough unlike how Tyler’s fanfare was basically Thor’s theme reused for the other movies except Ant-Man.

This is literally just 6 seconds longer than the last one. JUST SIX. People just can’t stop whining.

You mean The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest? Wow, you’re right! They executed the concept so much better. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing a Marvel logo like this if the music and style were as cool as it was for the opening to that show. What Marvel has done is messy and without personality (just like a lot of Marvel movies!).

Six extra seconds is a long time for a LOGO. I went to see The BFG and I was so bummed out by, after seeing twenty minutes of trailers for films I didn’t care about, another minute or so of full logos before the film began. Come on! It’s just rude in my opinion, especially since tickets even for basic 2-D showings are incredibly overpriced.

Great covers! And I think 36 seconds for one studio logo compensates for three or four studios being involved. I remember Star Trek and Into Darkness both have uber-long logo sequences, which is long enough for Giacchino’s theme to set the mood for the movies.

Oh no! was actually hoping for just a download link for the intro. Lockdown ripped that intro years ago but it was like in 112kbps. Great performance, but terrible quality.
If you thought those first two were bad… just wait til you see the opening logos for Star Trek: Beyond!
The way I see it now, the Marvel logo isn’t only a studio logo like MGM or Universal, it’s also a signature for the fictional universe the film occupies. It’s equivalent to the James Bond gunbarrel sequence. The studio logos and gunbarrel on the most recent Bond film were almost a minute long. Thirty seconds for Marvel doesn’t seem excessive in that context.
The fanfare music IS busier than the last version (which was great but basically it was Thor’s theme so not a good intro for every Marvel movie) but that complexity may be to keep it interesting after multiple listenings. Unlike the Bond sequence, which is on one film every three years, the Marvel fanfare will be on three films every one year!
The images of the comic panels were good; when Marvel were starting out, they showed where Marvel movies had come from. But, more than a dozen films into the series, the sequence can now show what Marvel movies actually ARE. And I expect kids will love seeing all their heroes flash past before the start of every movie. Plus the images will possibly vary and be added to as Spider-Man and Doctor Strange and the rest become more prominent.
Will be interesting to see how it plays when there is a new Marvel movie right afterwards, rather than isolated as it is now. That is going to build up a LOT of positive associations. 😉
Looking forward to watching it soon haha, I’m glad Giacchino had Logo and Prosper released as a track…

Relax Ponyo. I’m not talking about the music itself rather the visuals. They’re horrible. I thought that was pretty obvious from the rest of my comment. And that to me is what makes it seem so long. They’re making almost every single character appear in the intro. What happens when Phase 3 is over and everybody is dead? New characters so yet another intro? The comic book panel intro was so much more visually appealing, and you could just slide in new panels (which is what they did) and it would still look exactly the same save for other panels. That was simply yet innovative and I loved every second of it. THAT intro could last as long as they wanted it to. Six additional seconds or sixty, I don’t care. This one’s just ugly.
Unfortunately, I don’t think so.
The version that premiered at Comic-Con wasn’t the final version of the cue; percussion was lacking and there were a few missing instruments.
Here it is in 24/48, clean, no sfx, original recording. Don’t listen to it on box (the playback is lossy), just grab the lossless file

That’s the final version used from Doctor Strange onwards, if anyone cares. Thanks for the 24/48 upgrade though! 🙂
The original Comic-Con version (may have been a demo) that was posted here was most likely a YouTube rip.
