Although, there’s substantial belief you can’t read anything in dreams. Letters or numbers.

Your brain fills in the gaps in the very milliseconds from when you transition from asleep to awake.
The action is so quick and your brain needs the time to realize it’s awake, when you start to think of it right away, your subsconsience is automatically filling in the gaps with relevant letters or numbers.

It’s the same thing they say that you can’t make up new faces. They’re all faces of people you have seen at least once.
Which makes up a whole city in dream land. Full of projections.

It was a box office BOMB.
He did give more of a natural nude scene in a later installment of the franchise, but a very strong tease of a frontal but a maximus gratuitous of his gluteus maximus.

Call of Duty and Call of Duty: Finest Hour (the Stalingrad levels) are essentially like a video game to the film, it seems like a lot of the content and events in the levels are inspired by that section in the movie.

"The one with the rifle shoots! The one without the rifle follows! The one with the rifle is killed, the one without the rifle picks up his rifle and shoots! The one without the rifle, follows the one who has the rifle!… and so on.

That’s one of the aspects I immediately noticed. The general or commissar standing up on the truck giving directions to the soldiers with and without rifles. :p It’s another thing both the film and Call of Duty games share.

The 3D bluray has an open matte version.

Probably a portion of it is zoomed/cropped. A lot of open matte movies have a mix of actual open matte and/or zoomed scenes.
Depending how well the director filmed the scenes, you might not see the extra behind-the-scenes details like a boom microphone above the actor or the extras standing still or the colored tape all over the place to mark the actor’s places for shots.

I watched "A Night To Remember" in highschool and enjoyed that one.
Then we watched Titanic and I screamed bloody murder.

He also makes it easier to google the movies, too.

Wine is the worst thing to google for movies.

You always get small lists from posh users who wear crocks to the dinner table and talk about indie films they’ve never seen.

It would have to be a remake.

The only movies that got a remake, explicitly about wine are:
1) Sideways (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0375063) (2004) with Paul Giamatti
2) Sideways (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1236373/) (2009) a Japanese remake of the 2004 flick.

But the lighting mood of Sideways doesn’t suggest the first screenshot all dark and serious.
Also, no where in the movie Sideways does anyone look like they dress up for a wine tasting.

And I have no idea how Zeppelin is connected.

But a "tray of wine" isn’t something you can easily look up with google.
Not even IMDb without someone listing something no one’s even heard of as a significant prop to the story.

Are DAK’s screenshots key elements, though?

Not entirely "key", significant to the plot.
But I don’t exactly see Bruce Wayne scribbling away to some Led Zeppelin.

Oh, and JonC, I eventually did do a search for your two obscurities. The first is from a French director. As for the second, well Ronnie Corbett did share the same timeline as Dudley Moore and Peter Cook at least.

Yeah! The first one 🙂 It’s a bag of rice covered in blood after Ip Man’s friend is shot by the Japanese general’s right hand man. A very powerful scene.

 The rules are kind of moot since one of the members here has me on block.

At this point, we’re all just posting screenshots and having fun with them.

The Ip Man trilogy is on my watch list, as soon as I figure out what’s what.
It got confusing at some point after 2 came out. A lot of different places used different titles so that made it confusing.

I’ll have to sort it out with IMDb and search that way to make sure I got the right ones.
Donnie Yen is a remarkable actor/martial artist.

I remember Iron Monkey when it came out and then saw him in a few other notable films much later.

I can understand, after Ip Man 2 you had two separate releases in Ip Man Zero and Ip Man: The Final Fight. The former is a prequel and the latter is a bookend. Donnie Yen’s Ip Man trilogy is the be all and end all though I recommend the other two just as much (personal opinion).

Some of the other confusion were people saying "yip man" instead of "ip man".
Which I think "yip" is just the romanization of the Chinese characters, why all the confusion.

No, that’s Ghostbusters (2016)

I’d say they’re both the same. Both have people arguing whether or not it’s good. The only difference is the bias on both (BvS had fanboys hating on those who don’t like the film. GB ’16 is biased from every single attack).

It desperately needs a remaster. The whole movie is banded.

I get it because of the lighting in the film.
But other movies don’t nearly have it as bad.
This is outright making stencils of the light patterns.

German | French | Italian

My friend wouldn’t know that. She only knows the remake because of Michael Pitt.
And she knows him because of "The Dreamers". And she knows that because of all the sex and full frontal nudity in it.
And incest.

Eva Green is in "The Dreamers" with Michael Pitt. It’s hard to see her with so much clothes on in recent films knowing how liberal she was.
Especially for a kids movie.

Also in the remake to Funny Games: Tim Roth and Naomi Watts.
I don’t think my friend would know any name execpt Michael Pitt. She could probably come to learn Eva Green once that School of Mutants movie comes out.

My brother was going to school to be a journalist.
But he couldn’t stand Nightcrawler. It was very cutthroat Hollywood to negatively portray the media for the sake of a twisted story.
Natural Born Killers is a more apt depiction of how sick the media can get. Oliver Stone is a genius.

That actually looks funny, considering the theme is about corruption. Haha.

I’m just taking screenshots of a nice little flick for future use.
It’s only available on DVD so I have to inverse telecine the video first to get it back to 23.976 and then crop any black borders and clean up the picture a bit.
Because it’s older and a lot more indie, the picture transfer isn’t that clean so the borders are dirty and need fixing to remove any leftover black borders.
For sake of screenshots, I’m resizing to the intended sample aspect ratio instead of leaving it as the display aspect ratio (which would look squished as it’s anamorphic).

Fancy banners. We see that time period a lot, but never banners so colorful, clean and overused in a shot.
Those look brand new, like royalty is expected. How cute to think of Captain Jack Sparrow as royalty. 😮

I imagine…
1) It’s been done in real life in those days
2) to signify the district

But, so many movies leave out the banners. I think because they made the shot look too clustered so leaving them out to get a nice camera tilt works for most other movies.

I use imgur. The Statham is right. If you "retrieve it" then they store it on the ffshrine servers as well, and it is visibly tagged as such. Since they have a file size limit, that doesn’t always work.
If you don’t retrieve it but merely reference it, it works so long as the original hoster doesn’t kill the image or move it.

For a long time I have looked for a movie that I remember seeing as a kid on TV one time. It was something about a guy who gets seduced by a neighbor woman who already has a husband and I also remember very vaguely that their car (or his car) drives into the water or something…
For some reason I think that this might be that movie. Could that be or am I just talking nonsense here?? 😀

I think it was a comedy film with a bit of horror mixed in. Not sure though, I was very young at the time.

CLONEMASTER 6.53

Lion of the Desert is a great film. Watched it almost entirely out of anticipation of hearing Maurice Jarre’s excellent score, and along with that, it was alike to Lawrence of Arabia in the aspect of the desert setting, so is The Message, so all three of these films have three things in common; 1. Anthony Quinn plays a role in all 3, that of an older bearded man in both The Message and Lion of the Desert, and 2. Maurice Jarre provided an excellent musical score to each and every one of them, and 3. they all take place in the desert. :p
