I wondered what tools and methods you used to get high quality audio from video files, DVD, BluRay, etc.
Thanks.
It’s only available for Windows. The libraries it uses to decode DTS is only available for Windows so there will never be an OSx version.
Linux, if you spend more time.
Other tools only read the DTS Core, which is lossy.
So if you have a 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio file, and you import it something like Audacity (even with plugins; which they never update and always a decade behind), and you happen to see it imported as 5.1 only, then you know that software cannot do lossless DTS.
There’s only two GUI’s in the world that are updated for eac3to, as it has received updates that change the command switches around.
Only a couple, but they’re pretty big still. A lot of GUI’s out there have been abandonded so avoid them.
UsEac3to is recommended.
It’s as fun to learn as it is setting up EAC for the very first time. :smrt: :169: 🙂
