For the little story, The first Ben-Hur I got in my collection was the one conducted by Carlo Savina, I got the one conducted by Miklos Rozsa long time after. I have now 47 diffrents release of Ben Hur in my collection by a lot of different orchestras.
You can think I am crazy but we have all a passion! I share with you all the music I love. I just hope that made some of you happy?
Have a nice Weekend 🙂
Thank you very much My friend 😉
Yes and I made the same with "The Ten Commandments" From Elmer Berstein , Not so much but I think iI have about about 28! 🙂
I was also on search for this one long time and I find it by random on Amazon U.K and I buy it directly 🙂 The price was 4 pound, I think I buy it in 2011 and was released in 2010 but not sure.
Well, my question concerned the date when Savina made this recording, since it is not the original recording used in the movie. I found on soundtrackcollector that the original LP from this recording was published in 1960. So I guess this has been recorded somewhere between 1958-1960 but it isn’t written on the CD released by Hallmark…
