For me there’s no question: The soundtrack to the 80s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. It’s so iconic, and the show was one of the earlier ones who introduced the concept of of the music reflecting the mood of the situation, as well as settings cues like the Technodrome, the New York City sewers, Channel 6, etc (some of that was from the Wiki).
The soundtrack was composed by Dennis Challen Brown and Chuck Lorre. Unfortunately, with Chuck Lorre being a big shot producer now, apparently him not getting paid very well for doing the soundtrack, and the fact that the franchise has switched hands a few times, merely finding if the masters still exist, let alone getting the rights to put out a release seems sadly almost impossible.
Beside the gorgeous main theme and the view episodes, Jerry Goldsmith composed, the most of the music was composed by Alexander Vourage and Arthur Morton.
The delivered such sweet themes and some unforgettible secind themes wich can be heard throughout the whole series.
Its a shame, that nothing of the great music of this populaire show was released `till now (besides the music of the pilot movie THE HOMECOMING by Goldsmith).
A fire at the production company seems to destroy all musical tapes (as Lukas Kendall a few years ago report).
But iam defenitly shure that something MUST HAVE survived!
If somebody know about or has something of this music, please just let us know!!!
