Dare I suggest that the fewer titles of the later movies reflect the lessening quality of the composing? After the often stunning melodies of John Williams or Patrick Doyle, Alexandre Desplat was rather a disappointment to me.

Anyway, this collection is fantastic. It’s always interesting to hear familiar tracks played by a different orchestra, often adds a new "colour" to the sound. And "Harry in Winter" is one of my favourite movie melodies ever!

So once again – as usual – thanks for sharing.

Melshoe, I agree with you about the music of John Williams and Patrick Doyle, both magnificent composers, I was also disappointed by the music Of Alexandre Desplat unfortunately it’s not the first time I feel that wit the Composer, he is so very good and sometimes not to much. Maybe it could be he have to much work to do and he have not much inspiration for the moment? But I’m sure it will be back with some good music very soon!
Also me I love to hear the familiar music with a different Orchestra, City of Prague Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic orchestra, Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, and some others great one…
