I know of Anton Bruckner mainly because of Call of Duty; a section from the 2nd movement of his 7th was used on a couple occasions, and I really enjoyed that.

Thank you very much. This is my favourite recording of Bruckner’s 9th, mainly because of Rattle’s perfect sense for rythm and tempo… definitely one of the most powerful performances of the Scherzo I’ve ever heard. Bruckner’s music, which usually demands a lot of patience from its listeners, by itself tends to be a bit ponderous in places, but Rattle and the Berlin Phil deliver a thrilling performance full of clarity and heart-stopping climaxes. I can also recommend their Digital Concert Hall where you can find this particular recording alongside numerous other world class performances, for example a beautiful recording of Bruckner’s 7th also conducted by Rattle.
