Uh oh… Sadsack’s on the march again…. 😉
According to what I’ve read Moviola was a three part mini-series or triptych, and Silent Lovers, the third film in the series, recounts the love affair between Greta Garbo and John Gilbert. Fried was nominated for an Emmy.

On imdb, "Silent Lovers" had the alternate title "Moviola: The Silent Lovers" so I just abbreviated that AKA in my post.
In case anyone was wondering, Fried only scored this movie in the series. The other two titles were "This Year’s Blonde"(Elmer Bernstein), and "The Scarlett O’Hara War"(Walter Scharf).

Excellent share…thank you! I always enjoy listening to Walter Scharf’s score to "The Scarlett O’Hara War", especially the opening theme. Hopefully it will get unearthed someday, but I won’t hold my breath. 🙂

Thank you yet again for the on-going introduction to Fried’s filmography. Over the course of your many, many posts, I’ve graduated from mildly interested in this composer to immensely enthusiastic. I do hope that some CD label or labels will eventually release more of his work. It’d be nice to have cleaner sound in a couple instances as well as liner notes to give the music context within the movie and Fried’s career.

I think there were 10-15 "professional" releases (liner notes, inserts) available from my source. Titles I havent uploaded for that reason.
