this is actually pretty good, better than the recent years game ost (pso is good, pso2 imo is quite bad…

LOL… Yeah, unfortunatelly, I cannot share the same opinion… I play PSO1 to my bones back in the day, and when I started PSO2 I never stopped… To me, it feels PSO1 in a much higher superior level…
Then again… You can only judge by trying to play the game, right? =)
And even with that… Not everyone can like the same stuff. And that’s a good thing. =)

actually i didnt play pso nor pso2 (i did play psu on xbox, and the game’s so bad…
i just feel pso2 has a stronger electronic(and low budget) feel while pso is more orchestral esp. the 1st ost
and this animation ost has some good orchestral work. i like it 😉

i just have a hard time to listen thru most japanese game ost due to the synthesizer orchestral tone…
and i still remember tracks like can still see the light, the login screen music from pso, and it even has some melodies from ps 3 and 4. pso2 on the other hand not that memorable. maybe you can recommend some tracks(disks) from pso2 so i can give it another try?

I love PSo.. and like MDash. I played PSO back i the day to the core. Lost my counts of how much I restarted the game. PSU, yes. is awful, and I say it is the worst Phantasy Star game ever done. God I hated that game.

Well… I did try out PSU, but actually didn’t liked it… PSO2 as nothing compared to PSU, as far as I see it…

Yes, PSO2 has some electronic music, but also as some orchestral in it, actually. It depends pretty much on the field/level/mission…
Yeah, well, the OST of the animation is HEAVILY based on plenty of the game OST, so…

Hmmmm… Recommendations… Let me see… This is a list of my favorites from each OST. I won’t try to pick the ones that use more orchestra, because, sincerely, the game does use more "Electronic" than orchestra, but still… It has some that use orchestra. And even the electronic ones, there are a few pretty good ones (as far as my taste goes):
