I’m a huge fan of VGM and VGM remixes so I thought of a simple question: What are your favorite Video Game remixes?
My Contenders for this are as it follows:
Throwback Galaxy – Super Mario Galaxy (remix of the Main Theme from Super Mario 64)
It’s just too catchy, and it brings back the memories from Super Mario 64.
Race of Ages – Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (remix of the Main Theme from Space Harrier)
This one is by far the BEST Space Harrier remix i have ever heard.
Buoy Base Galaxy – Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games (remix of Buoy Base Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy)
You can’t go wrong with a dubstep remix to one of the best Galaxies in Super Mario Galaxy. Props to the SEGA Sound Team for this awesome remix.
We Love Burning Town – Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse (remix of Burning Town from Shantae)
If you’re a big Shantae fan like me then you’ll recognize this from the original game on the Game Boy Color. Too catchy and it’s awesome at the same time.
Big Blue – Mario Kart 8 (remix of Big Blue from F-Zero)
When Big Blue was revealed as a DLC track for Mario Kart 8, i wanted to hear a good remix of the original song from F-Zero. And when we did, it was AWESOME.
Final Battle! World Championships – Pok�mon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire (remix of the the Final Rival battle theme from Pok�mon Red & Blue)

I felt like this song could have been in Judgement somewhere (and should have been), so it was very nice to see it appear here just the way I’d imagined it.
Staff Roll – The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (partially a remix of "Overworld" from The Legend of Zelda)
Nothing made me happier than to hear this song triumphantly burst through the otherwise somewhat mundane (to someone who hasn’t beaten the game) credits music in the style of TP’s overworld. It was wonderful and still makes me say "Yeah!" inside when I hear it again.
"Mute City" – Super Smash Bros. Melee (remix of Mute City from F-Zero)
For a long time, I would have said the F-Zero X version instead, but over the years, I’ve grown to appreciate Smash’s take on things, having played F-Zero X about a hundred more times since.
"Goron Race" – The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (remix of "Horse Race from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time)
No, seriously. I love hearing the Goron percussion sounds in the middle of this one.
"Zero" – Megaman Zero (remix of "Zero" from Megaman X)
What can I say? This one was used just as effectively in Zero as it was in X.
"Invincibility" – Sonic the Hedgehog (remix of "Title Screen" from Sonic the Hedgehog)
Because a list like this requires at least one remix of a song within the same game and this is a great example.
"Shademan (alt.)" – Mega Man 7 (remix of "Stage 1" from Ghouls ‘n’ Ghosts)
Probably one of my favorite in-game remixes of anything.
