I mean, you already said the CD is the same as the original game’s sound files, just with "reverb, extra loudness mastering and a bit more of stereo"
I assume the CD kinda has the music used in the game.
The game is small enough where it would be logical to fit lossless sound files on the game disk instead of compressed. I mean, they put over 500 48kHz songs on Smash 4 so there’s really no reason WHY TPHD shouldn’t be lossless
The Cd only serves to demonstrate that the lossless files exist.
This exact same scenario happened when the original TP came out. If you were a Nintendo club subscriber, you got a CD soundtrack with like 5 songs on it. It was literally just the game files with mastering.
When has Nintendo ever been known to make logical decisions? Especially with sound?
Even games as recent as Tropical Freeze had music no greater than 32kHz. Same for Wind Waker HD, which also had remastered sound (except the sound was actually remastered, as opposed to TP’s). :p
I listened to samples of the TPHD’s CD and some of the more subtle elements of the music seemed to be have been erased… another great achievement by this joke of a "remaster".

The Cd is just a marketing ploy.

Hope you don’t hate nintendo….they haven’t touched the music

I know they haven’t.
What I care about is whether the TPHD game disk uses compression or not. I knew they were the same files as soon as I heard the soundtrack cd.
I simply want to know the technical jargon of the thing. Thew original Twilght Princess used 32kHz audio for its music. However, the WiiU purportedly can use and has enough disk space for 48kHz. So I want to know if they compressed it down again for TPHD or if they used the as-recorded lossless audio, whether it’s 44.1 or 48.
The new Sound Selection is 44.1 and lossless. So the game files exist in lossless. That is all I care about.
Saying "Are the exact same files" means nothing other than to stipulate that the music hasn’t changed (not rerecoreded with a Live orchestra). I want to see spectrograms. That Tweet can be interpreted in a lot of ways.
I’m interpreting it as same file size, in which case the sample rate will not have changed.

I am interpreting it as that the musicality has not changed, like how they did with WWHD, the music was completely reordhectrated, but here it was not. Given that the Tweet is for Smash custom music, I would like to infer that that is the claim they are making — that the music is not new and thus would be pointless to add to Project M/Smash 4
There’s only one way to find out.
As much as I’d love that, sounds more like a wishful thought

Please read what we have posted in this thread. That is not what I said at all.
That’s what you said.. but I should have known that by completely reorchestrated you probably don’t mean live, but with computers/MIDI/samples, whatever. Some sort of re-arrangements? Well.. it’s obvious, being a port that here has been zero change to the music. Though I can see where you come from with your belief that there’s a possiblity they could have put the original music in the port.
The music was definitely never orchestrated, not in 2013 or 2003. But they did use better samples for a number of tracks (Windfall Island is the most striking difference) and it all sounds super great. I guess that’s what you meant?
But that’s an interesting way of looking at it… maybe you’re right. But I’m hardly interested if all they did was add cheap reverb. 🙁

Even Skyward Sword, which was purported to be "the first all-orchestrated Zelda game!!!!" only had a select few tracks actually done with a real orchestra, and it shows.
Mario got it, why not fucking Zelda which fits more?
The reverb was added to the CD sound select for remastering purposes. I doubt they’d do they same to the game files so don’t worry about that..
yeah I know that they didn’t do that, that wasn’t the issue here.. the issue I was wondering about was whether or not the music files were replaced with the lossless ones.
Again, it’s a port. There could be a chance, but I wouldn’t be sure. It’s not a lazy port, as there have been sliight tiny chances added to it.
Pretty sure if they had to re-code stuff they’d probably try adding lossless music I dunno. Keep your fingers crossed.

"Sliight tiny changes"?
All of the speedrun routes are now fucked because of how much behind the scenes stuff was changed and added in.

Well, then I guess it’s not such a lazy port as some people claim it to be.. lol
In your opinion
