Uploading as I like these older SONY/CBS releases of MGM Musical soundtracks.
The Rhino releases are wonderful and obviously have better sound quality (along with extra tracks) but I like to hear the dancers taps where possible. ‘Too Darn Hot’ being an example here.
‘Moses Supposes’ from ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ is one of my favourite examples – Gene Kelly’s/Donald O’Connors taps really are extra percussion instruments 🙂
