btw, Fairy B sounds quite distorted. Did something go wrong there?
In fact, there are some tracks where the distortions are quite loud and unavoidable. Weird.

Yeah, that’s because of the files he used to convert the music. Not to promote my own thread but if you’re only interested in the new songs, I’ve got them without the distortion.
EDIT: Just wanted to check, are you using iTunes? iTunes also doesn’t like 32000hz files, which my rip also is.

Used VLC and winamp to listen to those tracks. Those should be fine with 32000hz files, right?
Ah i see, sadly it’s not only the new tracks yet gonna check it out anyways.

Yeah, those players are fine. It’s just iTunes that has a well known problem with playing 32000hz files.
Like the song My Fairy is dynamic and changes depending on the sub-menu you are visiting. The game mixes the channels at runtime. And all played at 100% volume at the same time produces garbled sound.

On the ripper’s forum, there is talk about some misaligned file headers that might be the cause.

Vector converted files that had bad headers, someone else properly extracted the .G1L files out of the .BGM files. Also, none of the music in Hyrule Warriors Legends is dynamic.
It’s good news, less of a pain to extract!

Each menu has a different file play instead of adjusting channel volumes. They’ve done away with all of the pause menu, focus spirit, etc. variants in the game as well.
I’d assume Hyrule Warriors WiiU made it into my top 5 most played WiiU games (not got it beside me to check) and after finally tapping into the 3DS version this past weekend I’m re-hooked and assume this’ll leave a lasting impression on my 3DS most played games list (stupid eShop being counted as most times played v_v).
Loving the new songs in this version and hope the DLC continues to deliver some cool fresh tracks too.
