Exclusive to this leaked version is a "complete" version of "Indy Rides the Statue". When I paraphrased "complete", I meant that it’s the complete version, but the first half (when Indy knocks the wall with the statue) is an alternate version than the one presented in the official 2008 release. But the official 2008 release ommited the second half (where Marion is "attacked" by the mummies), and that was presented in the leaked version.
But worry you not. I luckly kept my personal edits of when I was more skilfull with toying with those editing softwares like Adobe Audition (and I had much more time and patience back then). So I not only stitched together a more accurate film version using both releases, but I also included as a bonus the complete presentation of "The Well of the Souls" transfered from the 1995 double-vinyl release in perfect conditions (as you may know, the 2008 release ommited the "Marion into the Pit" sequence, where Marion is thrown into the snake pit by the nazis). AND I also made a personal edit using the "Uncovering the Ark" from the 2008 release plus the "Marion into the Pit" from the 1995 2LP, for completist sake. 🙂 Hope you like it! Enjoy!

Thanks so much for posting it!! 😀
This is quite interesting.
Big <3
I feel that this is the best sounding release to date and might start an audio project for this music. If only someone would share the 1995 DCC/Silva CD. 😉
THANKS !!!
Actually, this leaked version is pretty much the same as the 1995 release, except for "The Basket Game" and "The Desert Chase", that are edited the same way as they were in the original 1981 release…

Also for your excellent vinyl rip which I of course also will have to use. 🙂
If you do, I’m looking forward to it! 🙂
First step is to carefully eliminate some tiny glitches the leak has. That can be veeery time-consuming. ^^
Aside from that, yes – for me, it’s the best sounding version out there. Comparisons I did already show the beauty of it. Take for example track 12, ~ 0:28 – that gigantic gong. D:
😀
In short, yes I too am looking forward to it. ^^
Of course I already have this music.
I have it in my head. I’ve seen the movie so many times. Last time was in a theater. 🙂 I loved the 1995 CD back when I owned it. Now I own the Concord version but I’m about to sell it, BECAUSE it’s inferior to both this prototype leak and the DCC version.
But there seems no "definitive edition" around that sports lossless quality and the majority of the tracks sourced from this leak.
The sound quality is excellent and the Williams score legendary of course …
Kind regards,
– Converted to FLAC
– Fixed glitches in track 11 on molecular level
– timing as in official releases
– careful fades
It’s untouched otherwise and can be used for archival but also listening purpose. I already like this one better than any other version. 🙂

Track 10 is two cues 5m3 Poisoned Dates 0:48
5m5/6m1 Don’t Touch That 0:25
Track 14 the version on the leaked version is the original way it was composed . There’s two alternates one was used for the first part of the revised cue and then the version on the official release along with a piece from The Flying Wing and then the second part of the leak cue for the film version
Track 11 is the album version where the Choir mix is different the DC Version of The Map Room is the film version. I’m not sure what prelude your talking about

Me too!!!
To clarify the extended version of the track can be found on the DCC and official Concord release while the shorter version is on the OST and the prototype.
This is the 2008 prototype leak, fixed and edited – as preparation for an extended edition (incorporating other material).

I promised to deliver an audiophile, complete edition but I’m failing on the heart piece of this soundtrack, "The Map Room: Dawn".
While the rest of the leak is in excellent shape, something went terribly wrong with this piece. Maybe for the reason of integrating the choir-heavy mix, from minute 2:00 there appear several glitches. I was able to eliminate most of them. Showing across the whole spectum, finding them was easy. But there are also several low-frequency blobs from around 2:00 to 3:00 which I’m not capable of spotting and removing. You can hear them with bare ears in some places (~2:44), but listening to the segment in high tempo/pitch reveals the real scope and horror.
Editing in a EQ’d segment from the DCC edition for repairing mere seconds where the blobs are extremely noticeable (around 2:44) makes no sense to me, as I have the feeling this maybe is not just a different mix but a different take.
I will continue to offer this leak with little corrections but I cannot work on it any further. Sorry again. :/
If someone else wants to try, I have collected all the audio material that matters for compiling an almost complete edition …
Did you get a copy of the DCC version like you earlier requested?
I’m sorry to have to say this but I’m giving up on the project.

Exactly 😉
😉
Care to elaborate? Are complete releases of the scores finally in the works? Long overdue if so.
"Could be!
Who knows?
There’s something’ due any day;
I will know right away
Soon as it shows
It may come cannonballin’
Down through the sky
Gleam in its eye
Bright as a rose!
Who knows?"
😉
Something that utilizes this version whilst addressing the overblown bass on the Concord release?
😉
Official release or custom edit? You got my attention :).

I had a look at the "official" soundtrack forums but no news, so I suppose it will be a user custom edit. Well, where should we receive updates? Right in this topic? :).
Well, if you compare the Concorde with the DCC, then you would be right. Only… Steve Hoffman erased any bass below 70 Hz for the DCC. The Concorde actually returns the bass to its original intended glory while all the while not being as blown up as the leak.
No one knows about those cut frequencies. The diminished bass in combination with the treble boost of 4 dB starting at roughly 8000 Hz creates a pretty aggressive sound. About the reasons… I can only guess. The vinyl master Hoffman did for DCC is very different: treble was filtered with a bell-curve by 6 dB starting at 1000 Hz in combination with a high-shelf boosting frequencies above precisely 12250 Hz by roughly 12 dB. This creates a charming sound for the DCC vinyl while the CD sounds brittle. Since Steve Hoffman is a CD-hater I assume he did it to paint the CD in a bad light.
Whatever the reasons, many people grant the DCC a status it never deserved when in reality it’s the Concorde that actually solves most of the problems the recording has (while creating a few very unpleasant new ones).
The pitch issue is only one of the problems the Concorde has. And yes, maybe Sinus will 😉
