Note: this has been sitting, waiting, on my hard drive for over a year. Out of boredom I re-discovered it and as usual, Walter Murphy puts in an enjoyable classy effort for this rather trashy film that we should all know, and maybe even love, by now.

This came from two sources: the "truncated" official and the "complete" FYC promo albums. The main program is sourced from a lossless rip of the FYC promo and the bonus material is sourced from a lossless rip of the official album. As bonuses, I included "Flash’s Theme" by Brian May of Queen fame (not the Australian composer) and the album version of "The Proposal/The Wedding" which features an album-exclusive alternate version. There’s a nice little surprise which closes out the album that I’ll let you discover for yourself. I couldn’t think of closing it out any other way.

This is one of those scores that, when edited, I could listen to on repeat. It’s a very lovely and thrilling score. Despite how trashy its source is, Seth Macfarlane has the magic touch so it all balances out. Ted 2 was simply a one-joke-played-on-loop rehash. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. No expanded FYC version of that score has surfaced yet so guess we will have to wait until the sessions come around.

I have also prepared a deluxe edition for Seth Mcfarlane’s follow-up film "A Million Ways to Die in the West" with music by Joel McNeely and Alan Jackson. Keep an eye (and ear) out.

ENJOY!

I thought the FYC was genuinely lossy? Nevertheless, I thank you for this, as I really really enjoyed the scores for McFarlane’s movies.
