I am aware that Jerome left then, but the TD fanbase asked Jerome if he would take his fathers place, to which he responded with a resounding no!
Jerome decided his future wasn’t with TD in 2006, primarily because he didn’t like the direction the music was taking, but also because he does not get on with the two people who were driving his father in that direction, and as they are still involved, there was never any doubt that he would not take over the reins.
TD will do well under Thorsten Quaeschning, I think, with a more inventive and varied style than they have in the last decade.
I think Thorsten will do well, as you say. His work with Picture Palace Music, is very on par with TD of the 80’s and 90’s. If he can bring that to the table for new TD ventures, then they can only go on from strength to strength. Of course it will never be the same, for me personally. But the very fact that I thoroughly enjoy Thorsten’s work, can only bring some semblance to the new TD.
I have favorites from the 70’s – 90’s 2000’s and 2010’s too but 80’s were constantly awesome!
