Enjoy 🙂
Yeah, because if I edited it to sound like !!!!! would do it, they would probably be pretty long.
Sure, but it wouldn’t hurt to try.
I’m going to pick Super Mario Bros. Underworld as an example. The full edit theme runs at 1 minute and 40 seconds (for one loop).
There are seven different parts of each edit theme. Therefore, if we were to have a medley of each single part, that’d be 1 minute and 40 seconds x 7 = 11 minutes and 40 seconds.
But, if we were to include not just the seven individual sections, but every possible pair, and every possible group of 3, 4, 5, and 6 variations, as well as the full theme, that’d be equal to:
7 singles
21 pairs
35 groups of 3
35 groups of 4
21 groups of 5
7 groups of 6
1 group of 7
That’s a total of 127 different variations.
And 127 periods of 1 minute and 40 seconds, is equal to 3 hours, 31 minutes and 40 seconds.
And that’s just ONE edit theme. If we were to include ALL 127 variations, of ALL 24 different themes (4 games x 6 styles), that’s 3048 total variations, and averaging around 1 minute and 10 seconds, that makes a soundtrack, that’s likely to be longer than all of the main (non-spinoff) Final Fantasy soundtracks, combined. If not longer, than very close.
2.5 days… and that’s just the course maker themes.
Add a measly… 30 minutes if that, for the remaining themes… and … it’s still pretty much 2.5 days.
